He found the drain in a bad condition. He suggested replacing the drain and installing the backwater valve at the same time. The crew did an excellent job. They worked hard and replaced the grass so there was no damage to the lawn. The work inside was also done carefully and cleaned up properly. I haven't noticed any odours coming from the drain.
