Chris Brown and his help did a fantastic job doing pruning of three mature trees, a birch in our front yard, and a tree of heaven and maple in our back. In addition to pull growth back from the house, raised the crown of the maple, and removed substantial amounts of dead limbs and branches on trees that reached up 40-50 feet (best guess). They kept our backyard furniture safe, removed all cut parts and cleaned up (although given the size of the job, we did another round of clean up after ourselves). They did a great job, interacted with neighbors in courteous ways (one tree was rooted in a Neighbors backyard), and respected their property too (please note that I asked my neighbor for permission, and they then approved it with Chris, which made sense to me). At the estimation stage, Chris came off as knowledgeable and helpful, and came off as someone who cared about the health and well-being of trees. I really appreciated his perspective and appreciation, which are some of the reasons we went with him. He did not disappoint. Were I to need another job done, I would absolutely seek him out!

I called around to various HVAC repair services, and got through go someone at Climax named Sam. It was a Sunday morning and we already suffered through a hot Saturday. Sam offered to come out later in the day, and was there within two hours. We had the house cooling in one more hour later! Ah, we so needed it, and we’re appreciative that Sam could come out on the weekend. The system needed a little over 2 lbs of coolant. Sam was nice throughout, careful and thoughtful and helped us understand our options.

While on vacation, we found out that mice had moved into our home. Waheed was there before we returned, installing traps and setting up preventative measures. I think what is distinctive about Waheed is his commitment to customer service - he impressed us with his speed and quality of response.

Rocco was a miracle worker! He helped us plan our addition and provided us drawings and updates in a timely manner. He posessed an in-depth understanding of the city by-laws and assisted us with some difficult permitting issues. Rocco was always available to provide guidance and ideas of how to overcome obstacles. We are planned and permitted thanks to Architalcan!

Alex worked hard to fit us into his busy schedule within a week or so. We had a few odd jobs including hanging a chandelier, replacing an old bathroom light fixure, disconnecting a front post light and installing an electrical socket. He and his partner showed up early and were done in no time. They gave us a lot of good ideas about other lighting issues we have and we look forward to addressing these with Mapleleaf in the near future.
