Thank you Sam and Danny for transforming our backyard into a comfortable and cozy living space. The job included: re-grading to accomodate the slope, 30 ft wide flowerbed, interlock at the backyard, concrete steps to the house and to the backyard, interlock at the side of the house. It took a little longer than we expected but the end result is absolutely worth it. 5 year warranty also gives a peace of mind. I hope though we will not need to use it :)

7 years ago Stan and his team did an exceptional job extending our living space by completely renovating our basement. So when we decided that we need to renovate our kitchen we considered Stan's team as our first candidate to do the job. Stan provided us with a competitive quote and helped us with ordering the kitchen at Ikea. He scheduled the project for the time that was (mostly) convenient for us, in the middle of the summer when kids were at overnight camps. Stan assigned a project manager, David, to coordinate the trades and materials and make sure that the work proceeded smoothly and on time. Kitchen renovation is a complex project with many possible pitfalls on the way (actually turned out quite a bit more tricky than the basement reno). Stan and David have managed those well, being responsive to our requests and in the end of the day we really like our new kitchen and consider the project as success. There were two things that could be done better: 1. The initial project plan must include time for backsplash manufacturing, which in our case took almost two weeks. As a result the whole project took much longer than expected. We could have prepared better if we knew that we would need to live 6 weeks without a kitchen. 2. Better requirements gathering from the clients to avoid rework (which sometimes can be still unavoidable). This will also make the project more cost-efficient and customers happier in the end of the day :).

The following is NOT a paid advertisement :). Basement Experts has done a great job finishing our basement (it was half-finished so the project also included demolition). The new layout included: a bedroom, new laundry room (moved pipes), small sewing room, new bathroom (moved pipes), a rec room with electric fireplace (dedicated circuit was required), oak stairs. Pot lights with dimmers used for lighting in main area. The crew has been absolutely reliable, professional, courteous, hard-working and responsive to our requests. The job was done on time and on budget. The initial quote was very detailed and left us with an impression of high professionalism. We knew exactly what we would get, which was very important to us. It also helped to know that they guarantee their labor for 2 years. Also, any time we needed to change or add anything in the process, Basement Experts always accommodated our requests. We are quite satisfied with the renovated basement and would readily recommend Basement Experts.

I had my front steps and interlock replaced with the tumbled Unilock stone by this team. These guys worked quite fast - it actually took them less that a week from start to finish. We picked this company out of seven different proposals because: 1) they provided a very detailed estimate, 2) they were always available and very easy to talk to, 3) their price was not the highest, and 4) they guarantee their work. And they turned out to be a good pick, since they also were quite eager to swiftly accomodate all additional requests we made at no or reasonable cost. It's also important to note that their attitude towards us, customers, remained very professional until the very end of the project. I could safely ask any questions and expect a good professional response. The end result changed the front of the house look completely. Bypassers often stop and tell us how nice it all looks. I may not be very objective at this point, but we're probably the only house in the area with such beautiful front steps and interlock :).
