If I could give this company zero stars, Stoneworx would get all of them.
They finished a counter install for me this Summer which I arranged through Home Depot and Stoneworx screwed up the measurement on one of my counters. Now they are refusing to accept any responsibility based on some b.s. semantics that they know they will get away with every time. Apparently my recourse to this wrong kitchen counter was for me to "not accept it and send it back" - and then wait months for a corrected counter and not have an operating kitchen in the mean time. My stance was, "this one is wrong and can't be FIXED SO, instead of the customer (me) suffering because of your (StoneWorx) mistake, install this one for now and when you decide to get me the right one, you come back and switch them. Simple. But no, they're hiding behind this saying that "I should have not accepted it on that day". See, this is a game they play. They KNOW people are waiting for their counter because they haven't had a functioning kitchen counter and can't live without one so in turn they know that people will just accept it for now and then hide behind that like little kids. "Uh uhhhhh! YOU SAID YOU WANTED IT!!! WAHHHH!"
This company has no morals and is run like a kid's lemonade stand. It's too bad that after all these years in business, the owner of this company has no balls, concept of customer satisfaction, or quality in workmanship and clearly is just a greedy, sad person that just takes peoples money regardless if the job is done correctly.
Now Home Depot is up to bat and they will have to cover the replacement countertop and any other expenses involved with it. Home Depot should do what they should have done a long time ago and part ways with this Mickey Mouse company and start dealing with a professional supplier.
Stoneworx should not be in a business that requires precision in any way shape or form. I suggest they look into carving chess pieces, cubes or just randomly shaped blocks that don't require measuring in anyway. This would be something more to their "speed" as far as a speculation in their craft.
I am on a mission now to let everyone know to never use Stoneworx and will be filing a complaint to the BBB about their garbage business practice.
Stoneworx a joke of a company and shouldn't be taking on the responsibility of helping people shape their biggest investments in anyway - their homes. Stoneworx should maybe also look into sign making - again with arbitrary sizes and a box of crayons.
The owners of Stoneworx are clearly cowards and hide behind their rude customer service reps to do the dirty work. These are maggots of the business world.
Don't be fooled by all the ads you might hear and their affiliation with Home Depot. Trust me, run away and find someone else. They're able to run all those ads because of all the money they make and not taking on any accountability if they screw up or not.
Gee, I wish I could run my business like that; "Hey, this thing you gave us is wrong! What am I paying for? I think you need to do it again as per my initial request" My response? "Screw you!!" This is basically what Stoneworx has said to me and Home Depot - the company that gives them a tonne of business.
Absolutely pathetic.
