To clean out the filter before the pump requires taking the top off the washer, then the control panel, then unscrewing the door and door locking mechanism, removing the gasket and then finally taking off the front panel. You can then simply clean out the filter... and then you have to reassemble the washer. Somehow I knocked off a wire during reassembly and the door was shut in a locked position. My prompt, cheerful, brilliant service guys from Appliance Service Centre quickly found a loose wire in the door locking mechanism and voila! I had a working washing machine. Next time, I'm just calling them and saving a LOT of time, grief and cussing at every Maytag engineer involved in this design!

Thrilled to have found someone who I TRUST to clean my ducts and check my furnace. Keith fixed work done by previous contractors; advising and obtaining approval before starting the work. I felt sorry for Keith when he was done - he was covered in dust as my vents were pretty dirty from a renovation done last year, which included hardwood floors being sanded and refinished.
