After meeting a number of landscapers, I decided to go with West Coast Lawns & Gardens based on their existing good reviews and my meeting with Peter De Witt, who is very knowledgeable, helpful and came across as very honest. My instincts proved to be true. My lawn was destroyed by chafer beetles and overtaken by weeds. The crew spent hours digging out the weeds to perfection before they added the new soil and seeds. The end result was impressive! They also brought in rocks and rebuilt my uneven rock garden wall. It now looks great. Peter was also very patient in answering all my emails promptly. West Coast Lawns provided excellent service and I would highly recommend them.

Absolute Roof is not the cheapest but I decided to use them as they were a family run business and it appeared that most of their reviews were favourable. It took about 2 weeks before I received a call back. This should have been a red flag. I signed the contract early Sept and the work was to be completed by Sept. The work was not completed until Oct 18 with no follow up to let me know that the work would be delayed. The work is somewhat sloppy and it was not fully completed/rectified until Nov 7. My friend used the company at the same time and our experiences were the same. There is lack of communication between the depts and customer and workmanship is a bit sloppy. There were tons of nails and debris left behind after work. I'm praying that the roof will not leak!
