After a few (terribly) windy days in early 2015, I noticed a few shingles had landed on my lawn. After a very shaky venture to my roof, I discovered a section of shingles (about 2 bundles worth) was deteriorating. I called Mr Roof Repair and they came out very quickly. They assessed the entire roof and, in addition to the deterioration, found a few other deficiencies left over from construction - not a surprise, given all the stories I've heard from neighbors regarding the builder. While there were a few extra issues beyond what I had noticed from my brief peek, I did not need a new roof. For reference, the roof now is approximately 11 years old. Mr Roof Repair performed a temporary repair (replaced missing shingles), and presented me a quote to complete the permanent repair. Once I gave the go ahead, the work was done in a timely manner. The only evidence that they were ever there was a fixed roof and a sign on my lawn. The reps at Mr Roof Repair kept in regular contact over the course of the job - I never felt like I was a forgotten customer. After examining the photos they took of the before, during, and after phase of the repairs, I have to say I am beyond pleased. Their attention to detail was evident from start to finish, and I am not sorry I chose them to fix my roof. While I hope I don't have to do any more roof work for the near future, I would definitely call them again should the need arise.

A number of weeks ago, I noticed some loose bricks on my front porch. I decided to come to Homestars to find a contractor, as it's yielded good results in the past. This time was no different. Shane stood out from the other contractors I contacted, and I am glad I chose to do business with him. The original scope of work involved relaying 3 courses of brick below the front edge of my porch, as the mortar had deteriorated. This involved having to dismantle my staircase (in order to access the brickwork behind). The original estimate called for reusing the old bricks (as they seemed to be in good condition), but during the work, he discovered some bricks had completely deteriorated. He was very up front and honest when it came to having to renegotiate to account for this, and the extra cost was, in my opinion, beyond fair (given the circumstances and results). The results are great - the new bricks and mortar blend in perfectly with the existing bricks, and the whole area itself looks amazing. I am very impressed with Shane's quality of work, and would not hesitate to contact him again if the need arises.

The previous owner of this house made the mistake of planting a magnolia tree right next to the foundation of the house, and when I moved in, I suspected the tree would need to be removed. My suspicions were confirmed, and the tough choice (I'm a bit of a tree hugger) was made to remove the tree. After contacting a few other (highly rated) companies mentioned on Homestars, and being completely dissatisfied - either with their pricing, punctuality, or both - I contacted Landon. His pricing was beyond fair; he was punctual, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable regarding his trade. There was one minor delay due to weather, but he kept in contact and never once left me hanging. The job itself was done in a timely manner - tree removed, stump ground down, and he went above and beyond with the cleanup. While I don't plan on cutting down any more trees, I fully plan on calling him back to do some pruning come spring time. Absolutely top notch service.
