Its been four months since Shane and Skywest have said they would complete the kitchen renovation. We have had promise after promise, doors ore ordered, doors are done, doors are being shipped but they have not shown up.Shane has made promise after promise, says his supplier will not contact him or work with him. As of today we are firing him and his company and hiring a contractor to complete the job. If anyone wants to use this company i would say have him do the work first then pay him for the work, or hold back 50% of the contract.

We did have some issues with completion of the kitchen project for this client but in the end we did not get fired as the client states above as we worked it out with them and were able to complete the kitchen 100% and the client paid the final bill as contracted on November 3rd, 2013.
The kitchen was initially installed and looked fantastic. I believe the clients would agree. There was one cabinet door missing and the two upper corner doors were 1/4" too narrow. We asked our kitchen company to order the 3 doors necessary to complete the kitchen as soon as possible. The granite was installed and the clients had a very useable kitchen that was 99% complete and only missing the 3 doors that were re-ordered. We were told by our supplier that the doors were ordered and would be installed in approx. 4 weeks from the order date but could be longer due to high volume and issues with supply resulting from the flood we experienced last year. The issue escalated when the supply company apparently had an issue with their order process and the doors were delayed. We were told they would be ready and relay this to the client only to find out later that they were not ready and needed more time. We since parted ways with that kitchen subcontractor and now order direct from a Calgary-based kitchen manufacturer that we have known well for over 5 years. Their product is first-rate and have a much faster turnaround time.
The "promises" that were made were based on being told by our subcontractor "the parts will be ready any day" and then later find out that it wasn't the case. We were relaying information from our supplier and when it didn't happen as we were told the client became frustrated and disbelieving. We understand they were feeling frustrated and wanted to be done 100%. We wanted nothing more than to get the service doors completed and installed to be 100% done as well.
It is the client's prerogative to give whatever feedback they feel is warranted but we are surprised by receiving a "0" and feel that it is the result of being frustrated with the delay. The kitchen looks spectacular and is a very high quality product and renovation. Even the reviewers wife said that she loves her kitchen. We only use high quality suppliers and tradespeople for our projects.
We take pride in the high quality renovation we provided to these clients. We apologized to them for the delay and although they provided such a poor review we still wish them all the best and hope they enjoy their beautiful kitchen for years to come.
