I live on Vancouver Island. Have had Alarm Force for 4 years now. We replace the batteries in the sensor components every year. Had great difficulty last year with door sensor and after many calls to Alarm Force "support" was finally able to do it myself. This year, the component is simply not holding the batteries. The metal spring is worn. I called and asked for a service person to come and replace it on Sept. 30th. and was told that the earliest I could get help was Oct. 24th! The service rep lives 1/2 hour from our home. When I mentioned that I would now be without this sensor, the comment was " It's only the front door." I am very disappointed in the in-home service we have received. This is not the first time we have had to wait for a very long time for service. We like the product and also use the Personal Alarm system, so in fact we are paying for two of their products. The other issue I have is that our house insurance has us listed as having an alarm system. Wonder what would happen if they break in through the front door!
