I'll start by saying that the 5 out of 10 rating is mostly for the installers (Cal & Trevor) who did the work on our house - they are probably the only reason this review wasn't scored at a 1 out of 10. They did a great job and really showed they cared in how they did the install they day they showed up. We are happy with the way it turned out.
The salesman Frank did a impressive job helping us choose the colors and installation methods (i.e.: location of downspouts etc.) but unfortunately, once we signed the contract he really had nothing else to do with us. After 2 months I inquired if he had a time when the work would be done on our house and he said he'd get the scheduling people to call me - they never did. But having faith that we picked the right contractor, we continued to be patient and after I inquired again, I was told I hear back from them the next week and 5 weeks later there we still heard nothing. Then one day almost 2 months later, I get a phone call from another person saying the crew would be there the next day - at this point, we were worried, based on what we'd seen so far, that if we couldn't be there it could be several more weeks/months before a crew could come out.
That all being said, my biggest issue with D'Angelo & Sons was the lack of communication during the 4 months we waited for the installation of the new eaves trough, soffit and downspouts on our house. Reading through previous reviews, I could see this has been an issue and it appears to still be one today. The info kit we got was very impressive but that all gets tarnished when you leave your customers in the dark - even if things are delayed you should be letting me know - I'll be ok with it and probably would appreciate the update - why make me wonder then call and then get no answer?
I can't say for sure that I would be 100% confident in recommending this company to someone else based on the lack of their communication, which to me, is just as important as the job the crew does when they show up.
