Do not sign a 3year contract with ADT. I installed ADT in 2012, but the equipment and wiring was already in the house, they just had to connect it to their monitoring system. When I moved homes after a year, they wanted me to take the contract to my new home or sell it to the new tenants, but in that case, I'd have to renew it for another 3 years. The penalty for cancelling the contract was 75% of the remaining time which summed up to be $ 903.38. How can such a large company be profiting from not providing a service or equipment? It is insane! I haven't ever dealt with such a dishonest company and they make it all look legal just because you "signed a contract".
