We had two overflows on our eavestroughs at the start of one of the biggest rainstorms to hit Toronto in years. We needed help urgently and found Tip Top Eaves through a Google search. Yaron came within a few hours of our call. Although he had had a long day, he got right down (up) to work, found the problem quickly, cleared the blockages, and did some preventative maintenance. He also suggested some work to improve drainage in the future. Yaron combines speed, thoroughness, safety, and courtesy. He also asked me to observe his work to satisfy myself that things were being done properly. All of this comes for a competitive price.

The frame of one screen for a double-hung window had become bent during removal for cleaning. It was very difficult to find someone who could repair the frame. The window could not be opened in the meantime since bugs could come in through the gap between the screen and window frame. After a lot of searching, we found Greg. He did an excellent job and gave us some good advice about screen care. The price was fair for the work done. He was friendly and responsible, leaving our home as he found it. I will definitely call him again and highly recommend him.

I tried BBQ Boy after becoming disappointed with my previous provider. I was not disappointed! The work was flawless, the people friendly, and the clean-up perfect. Work is not cheap but worth it.

We had been very pleased with Good Looking Homes (GLH) when they cleaned our deck in 2012, so we approached them again with something different. The wood on a gatepost we had had installed in 2007 was cracking and no longer holding the screws that kept the gate in place. The installation had been done by a very good contractor and the cracking was the result of weather, ground settling, etc. over six years. Wood epoxy worked for a while but still the screws kept coming out. At first GLH said the gate and posts would need replacing at a cost of $700 and that it would take a long time to find someone to do it during a busy time of year. When Liam came to our place, he came up with an alternative to reposition the hinges on the other side of the gate and use different screws. That took an hour or less, at one-tenth of the cost, and it looks great. And as always, the clean-up left no trace. That shows a lot of honesty and integrity, to do what's right instead of going for the big bucks. If that's the way they operate, Liam and Nathan will make up that money many times over with referrals and repeat business from happy customers!

Our deck was installed in 2007 and needed a professional cleaning. I went to HomeStars after a favourable experience with another recommended contractor. My initial request was answered promptly; Liam and Nathan were courteous in their attitude; the work started on time and was thorough and professional. The clean-up afterwards left no trace other than a deck that looked like new! We got good value for money paid.

From start to finish, everything about Tom and his work was first-rate. The estimate was detailed: it promised a more thorough job than the cheapest bidder, yet came in at half the cost of a well-known company that subcontracts the work. His advice on material, colour, etc. was right on the mark. On the big day, Tom and his crew arrived on time and looking presentable. They were very friendly at all times. They did whatever it took to get the job done right, working hard and leaving the property safe and clean after finishing. Tom also went to bat for us with anyone he had to, so that any issues were taken care of. No matter when we called, he was always polite and prompt. Tom will give you good value for money, and peace of mind knowing the roof over your head is properly installed, well-vented, and solid.
