We previously replaced our Boiler with this company just several months ago, which resulted in things not working properly and MANY visits to fix things over many WEEKS. We were very patient. However, with our recent AC installation, they caused thousands of dollars of damages! On May 21, 2024 routine maintenance was performed on our A/C by this company. The employee reported that the unit was low on refrigerant, but since it required R22 it would be expensive to refill, so we went ahead with a replacement of the outdoor unit as suggested. We have an older home with an air handler in the attic, rather than a furnace in the basement. The new outdoor unit was installed on the same day (interestingly it was manufactured 2 years ago), and we noticed immediately that it was short-cycling off and on every minute. Since installation (May 21), we have had 4 visits (May 22, 23, 28, and June 11th) by this company (2 by owner Hassan himself, where each time he did not bring his tools and was therefore unable to perform any diagnostic/repair work). Their words and actions raised many alarm bells, for example, the employee (who had been present during installation) sent on May 28 to diagnose the issue had no idea what an air handler was: after I showed him the unit in the attic, he asked to see the furnace in the basement (which is non-existent in our home). Astoundingly, Hassan later tried to justify the lack of basic knowledge by saying that the employee was just a helper. I also noted that basic items on their maintenance checklist were never performed, such as cleaning the electronic air filter and evaporator coil (Hassan tried to justify this by saying they were unnecessary due to the replacement of the outdoor unit, but this was logically absurd because they didnt replace those components). We decided to contact a different, more reputable company. This company was able to diagnose the issue immediately. The damage done by Green H&A was astronomical. The diagnosis: the TX Valve in the air handler was not replaced and the setlines were not flushed (both required when switching from R22 to R410A). This unfortunately caused irreparable damage, requiring replacement of the system. The requirement to replace the TX Valve when switching to R410A is even written clearly on the outside of the unit, not buried in a manual somewhere. Hassan came in for a 4th followup visit on June 11 to allow him a chance to review the problems. When I explained them, he immediately flat out denied both issues, claiming that the TX Valve had been replaced and lines were flushed. I insisted that I wanted to see the new TX Valve, but he kept stalling and stalling, and going off on tangents about minutiae. After my repeated insistence, we finally went upstairs to check out the TX Valve. When we got there he then stated hed be unable to show me the TX Valve because its inside the cooling module and he hadnt brought his tools. I offered him a wrench that Id left just beside the unit, but he refused, saying it wasnt his tool of choice. After he left, I opened the cooling module (in 30 seconds - it was just a matter of removing 4 bolts) and found an ancient dirty TX Valve (see photo showing the old valve along with the warning on the outside of the unit about requiring replacement for R410A). And as the professional from the other company pointed out, the lines had not been cut and reattached, confirming that they were never properly flushed. Owner Hassan had looked me in the eyes and falsely stated that the valve was replaced and lines were properly flushed. That is completely unacceptable, and for obvious reasons we refused to let him or his crew return to attempt to fix the disaster, in spite of his offer to do so. This company cannot be trusted. They messed up very badly and the owner was dishonest about it. ---------------------- Edit (in followup to Hassan's response): - This is the first I'm hearing that they were unable to complete testing on the installation date because of the rain on May 21st. Nobody informed us of this, and no followup appointment was booked to complete the testing. But the fact is that testing/diagnosis was never completed due to negligence and incompetence, not because of the weather. Environment Canada historical records confirm that it did NOT RAIN in Toronto on May 21, 2024. - The installation of the boiler occurred on Feb. 28 and problems persisted until April 5th (nearly 6 weeks later). There were followup visits on Feb. 29, Mar. 5, Mar. 8, and Apr 8 (likely several more, but that's all I have documented). It was only fixed after Hassan's brother came on Apr 8 (he seemed knowledgeable, but runs his own separate HVAC company). - Hassan's recount of the conversation about the TX valve was replaced is completely false. He did not say he'd look into it or ask the crew that did the installation. HE IMMEDIATELY, FLAT OUT DENIED THAT THE TX VALVE WAS NOT REPLACED AND LINES WERE NOT PROPERLY FLUSHED. And he knew he was being untruthful because he started acting sketchy when I asked to see the new valve, and then refused to open up the unit to show me. (As per above, you can check historical weather records for Toronto on May 21 to gauge which side of the story to believe.)

Company Response

We are very sorry to hear about your experience with our AC installation. We strive to deliver the highest quality service and deeply regret that we fell short in your case.
We understand that you decided NOT TO USE YOUR WARRANTY for a fifth service visit and opted to hire another company. We truly wish we had the chance to resolve the issue for you promptly.
Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are committed to making improvements based on your experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I remember during the winter I received a call from you around 6 pm and I was at your house around 8 pm, it was a cold night and your Boiler was not running, the house was about 62 degrees Fahrenheit. You and your wife decided to buy a Boiler from me and I promised you to get that installed the next day. The Boiler got installed the next day and the house got warmed up again. A day after I received a call from you about the infloor heating for the kitchen which was not working after the new Boiler installation. We realized there was no zoning controller ever installed in your house. I suggested to you a controller system to make the entire house thermostats compatible with the new Boiler, you agreed, I got it Installed, and sent my brother to fix the Kitchen Infloor heating . We finally got that fixed and everyone was happy.
We never gave up by coming back to your house and fixing the issue to make you 100% satisfied. I was very happy since you and your wife were happy.

We received a call from you for AC Maintenance on May 21th, as you mentioned above you got a new AC from us. During the first heat wave, we were able to get your new AC installed but unfortunately in the middle of the installation, it started raining. The technician was not able to complete all his tests. I received a call 2 or 3 days after from your wife and she was saying the house is at 72 degrees but the thermostat is at 70. We had 85% humidity and rainy days during that time. I called your wife on June 10th and asked how is your new AC doing? She said everything is working fine.
To make the story short, your wife called me on June 11 and said the AC is not working, I made a same day appointment immediately. I just wanted to attempt the call and see what was going on, I was doing sells calls and wasn't using my truck and tools on that day.

We had a conversation about the TX VALVE and I mentioned that I have to check that with my installer to confirm if that got replaced and if it was not, we are responsible for it and honor our warranty.

I mentioned that let me comeback with my installer and fix the issue and I will promise you that will be my last visit but unfortunately you didn't give me that chance.

I never leave any customers until we fix the issues and satisfy them 100%.
Our reviews clearly show that.

We are still here for you to come back and fix the issue and make your house comfortable as per your satisfaction.
