Mike was recommended to us. We had a non-standard door on an old Victorian house which has undergone many non-standard renovations over the years. We'd already gotten 3 quotes for the job of installing a new door, frame, and transom, all of which were over 5000 due to the non-standard nature of the job. During our preliminary interview, Mike offered several alternate ways of resolving the space, and took the time to cost out each item as well as each resolution in order for us to make an informed choice. We opted for a standard door, with custom transom and side window. When it came to choosing the door, Mike could tell us about which doors looked really nice in his experience. And when I made the unusual choice of a single door that actually belonged to a double door design, he accepted it without question. Once the door and windows were ready for installation we received a date from Mike. He arrived with another guy and the two of them worked quickly and cleanly, removing the old door, thoroughly insulating, solving the oddities of our house, and installing the new door and windows. They framed the new door inside and out, sealed everything, finished everything, and, as they had done regularly throughout the job, cleaned and tidied the area. We have had no less than 3 people request contact information for the company that did our door. Neighbours admire the work, and comment on how the house has come alive with what seems to be a whole new face. Mike did an exceptional job.
