I really thought I had a squirrel in my attic; I could hear it in my office for days. I could hear it scratching and thought it sounded larger than mice and smaller than a raccoon. Tyler came to check out the problem. I live in a townhouse. He inspected all the roofs of the 5 attached units and couldn't find anything. Actually, he thought it could have been the end unit where something could have been coming in and making its way through all the adjoining attics, then into my attic. A few days after he left I heard squeaking in the attic and I thought for sure that squirrel had babies. Tyler and Andrea (Customer Service) both told me it could not be babies in late Nov. I didn't believe them. Once I managed to speak to the neighbors in the end unit, I called Tyler back. He came back, even though he was pretty sure there wasn't much he could do. He checked the roofs again and spent some time talking with me and the neighbor and giving us some good advice. Eventually he said it could be mice. Well, as it happens, it was indeed mice! Ugh, they were making the squeaking sounds. So my mistake was calling "wildlife control" when I really needed "pest control". Wow, those mice sound much bigger when they're scratching on the ceiling above my head. Anyway Tyler was great, but mice are not something they handle. If I ever do have a real "wildlife" problem I will for sure call AAA Gates again.

Shakeel was very responsive, polite and professional. He arrived on time as expected. He listened patiently while I explained my situation involving a previous wildlife removal company and the extent to which they were able to help me. He looked around the roof and then had to come into the house and go into the attic. He was so careful with his boots, trying to keep the carpets clean. He quoted me for the service, we agreed, and he quickly got to work. He explained to me why I was hearing the mice in my attic (some insulation was missing above my office) and explained the best time to take care of anticipated future mice problems (September). The service was a week ago. Seems like the mice are "gone" now (RIP). Job well done, now I know the problem and I can work on prevention in future. Thank you Shakeel!

I can't believe I forgot to finish this review from Jan-Feb 2017. I had a great experience with Roofs on Homes! I had had a leak above my garage for some time, and I did hire someone who came and "fixed it" in spring 2016. Well, the "fix" didn't last long. If you recall the January 2017 we had in the Toronto area, it was warm and rainy! The roof started leaking again, in the original location and in a second location. I found Roofs on Homes on Homestars, and called. I believe it was Maria on the phone who I spoke with and she sent Chuck to see the work. Chuck was great! He spent some time on the roof and really thoroughly checked out the problem. He offered to have me go up and look and I said "No thanks" so he took approx 20 pictures while up there and went through them with me (on solid ground) to show me the problems. He fixed up that roof the next day. Obviously a lot more work involved than the first guy who patched it up. Well, 9 months later, and LOTS of rain later, and I can say for sure this was a job well done. Chuck was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. And Maria (I think her name is Maria and I hope I didn't get it wrong) from the office called me to check up on the service later. I would definitely hire Roofs on Homes for any roof work again.

When Maximiliano says "no job is too small" he means it! I had tried - and failed - to re-caulk my small shower twice in the last 8 months. The caulking was failing again. It was a small job, just the shower pan. I also didn't know how to replace/ repair the leaky faucet for the shower. I had contacted a few other companies from Homestars, most who honestly told me they did not do that small of a job or that type of work, and one who was so slow at responding, it became comical 5 weeks later. Maximiliano responded quickly, came to look at the job and gave me a quote. He was clear, honest, friendly, very pleasant and treated me the same as I expect he would treat a much larger client. He was easy and quick to communicate with. He showed me what had happened and explained what the problems were. He fixed everything, AND left my bathroom spotlessly clean. I already asked him for a quote about a painting job, and now that I have seen the photos here of a basement reno, I am considering him for a basement reno, too. He will be my first call for any work from now on and will have first pass at any opportunity. Thanks Maximiliano!

Very professional and trustworthy. I spoke with Kathy, who was very helpful in providing my estimate and giving me an idea of what to expect about the service, Rob called in advance of the service date to confirm the date and time. Rob and Scott showed up on time. They removed their shoes in the house, even though I did not request that of them. They first described what they would do, which immediately made me comfortable. When the service was completed, Scott showed me what had come out of my ducts. I sure was glad I had them cleaned! They also cleaned my A/C evaporator coils and checked the condenser. I had also asked them (and received an estimate) about installing a secondary lint trap in my laundry room, as I have a second-story laundry room and cannot reach the outside vent to clean it myself. After some discussion of the pros and cons, we settled on an alternate solution, which Rob recommended as a better solution for my house, and in fact lowered their original estimate. Who does that? This is a company who can be trusted, and who knows how to generate repeat business. Kathy also made a follow-up call, to make sure I was happy with the service.
