For a number of years, Heritage Tree Care looked after a Manitoba Maple that dominated my back yard. They trimmed it back and kept it healthy. Last year however, the tree had gotten too big to support its weight. Despite excellent care, it developed a vertical crack in its trunk and a large branch also crashed. It had always been the wrong tree in the wrong place but now there was no way around the fact that it had to go. Heritage Tree Care wrote and submitted the required arborist report/application for tree removal for the City of Toronto. Once we were granted permission, they removed the tree. But those four words hardly convey what was involved: a narrow downtown backyard with no laneway access; a tree that spanned two neighbours' yards; the need to access my yard across two other neighbours' properties; etc. There were seven team members in the yard! All of them polite, professional, and deeply reliable. I can't imagine trusting anyone else with this sort of of epic enterprise.

After a basement sewer backup we really needed to fix the problem with our drains and make sure the issue was solved so we wouldn't have to replace the basement floor again! The folks at DanMac determined that there was sediment in our building trap. (The first fellow even offered to give me a copy of the video he made of the camera's search through the drains! And he also assessed and repaired a leaky faucet in my bathroom too). The crew came last week and dug down more than seven feet to replace the old clay pipe which was about 90% blocked. They were on time, polite, and cleaned up everything before leaving. And now I have peace of mind too. I heartily recommend their work.
