Front Entrance Door Glass Leaks
New front door installed in January 2023. In early March we had a snow storm and the snow that accumulated on the door glass and sidelights was melting and leaked inside between the door frame and glass edge. I emailed AWARD with pictures but no reply. We didn't bother contacting AWARD again as this was a small amount and during regular rain showers our door does not get wet... Now in August 2023 we had a severe rain storm that was blowing rain onto the front of the house and the same thing happened but worse. Our entryway was flooding from all the rain. The left and right casing near the bottom have swollen from the water. I emailed a video AND called this time. Someone on the phone said they would send out a technician. When they arrived they removed the inside glass trim and tightened some screws. They also added silicone around the outside glass where it meets with the door frame trim. Even though the silicone is not that visible it looks awful up close on a new $7000 door! There should be no silicone is this area of the door. None of my neighbors have silicone and their doors don't leak. This seems like a temporary fix. They told me if it leaks again to call. I have mixed feelings about AWARD, and the manufacturer deserves a fail. There seems to be absolutely no quality control or experience. Because of this I would not do business with them again.
