The service at Weed Man is terrible and trying to cancel the service is a nightmare and designed to continue to cost you money. Last year they burned my lawn and did nothing to stop the weeds. I told their sales reps who called me repeatedly over the past 6 months trying to sell me other services that I was not interested in renewing my current services for the next year. This year in April Weed Man applied their annual fertilizer to my lawn and charged me for it even though I had told them I cancelled it. The tech who applied it was supposed to have cancelled the service then, but did not. I told them I would not pay for this application as I had previously cancelled. A few days ago another technician came out and sprayed weed killer all over my lawn. He was done before I even realized he was there. Then he rang the door and presented me with another bill. I again told him I had cancelled and would not be paying for this. I had just purchased top soil and seed to fix a large patch on my lawn that was destroyed last year and all the small patches that Weed Man burned in my lawn from their weed killer last year. I called their office number right away and had to hang up after waiting too long for them to answer - I work from home and do not have time for this nonsense. I did some research and found that I will have to wait 2+ weeks before I can seed my lawn thanks to the unauthorized weed killer they applied. That afternoon I called again and after a lengthy wait got through and was told there was no record of my cancellation. I explain the situation and told them that I was not going to pay for the two applications and that I did not want anything more from them. The rep said that she couldn't do anything about the bill. I asked to speak to her manager. As soon as I did that her tone changed and she started giving me attitude and told me he was not available. I ended the call upset because the whole experience has been a nightmare including the customer support I just received. I have not heard back from a manager and doubt I will unless I call in again. I would definitely recommend staying away from this company. Note: I have been forced to edit this submission 3 times because the editors do not clearly explain why they reject your submissions. This website needs to do more to clarify the reasons why they reject customer complaints. It is important that other potential or existing customers hear about the experiences dealing with a company, but if submissions are being censored, then it would appear that the website is setup to favour the companies, not the customers.

I am sorry that you feel this way. Weed Man is a continous service company from service to service and year to year. On every invoice we leave our customers during the season it states this in bold print were the special instructions are found about the service we had just applied. We also mail out three invoices every year for the upcoming season, one in Sept., Jan. and March stating the order for the season and also a ending date when to contact us if you wish to prepay, change or cancel your program. In this letter we also attached your consumer rights information to make sure all of our customers are aware of the service. At no time was my office contacted to cancel services. If a customer of mine requests not to be on continous service we abid by their wishes and remove them from this service forever, this is usually about 15% of my customers. The weed control Fiesta does not effect grass seed and can only cause possible issues with new seed once it has started to grow. Please contact my office and refer to the above concern and I will make every attempt to resolve this concern.
