Fabio and his team did an excellent job on the trim for our entire 2nd floor reno. He wasn’t the cheapest, but the quality is well worth it. Attention to details like cutting the base board around a wall vent. He spoke to me first about how we would like that area finished and offered that as an option. The windows I thought were going to be a challenge because after the demo, there were some areas that had exposed 2x4s and I wasn’t confident those areas could be handled well with the window trims. I don’t know how they did it, but the result was beautiful. He and his team were on time, efficient and a pleasure to work with. Even our painters were extremely impressed with the carpentry work and I think jumped up their game a bit, being able to paint on such flawless surfaces. Fabio made time in his busy schedule to return later at an early morning time, to install the hardware on our wardrobe closets. All in all, a master carpenter, doing top notch work at a reasonable rate. We will definitely hire him again for our 1st floor reno. Thank you so much, Fabio, and team!

Very happy with my shower glass installation! From Josh’s initial consultation taking care of questions and seeing different hardware finish options, to Frank the owner’s peesonal touch on the phone with prompt scheduling and in my case, rescheduling due to a shower base issue, to Phil and Ben’s excellent install job, it was all very smooth and stress free. What set them apart other than the many great reviews here on HS, was their attention to detail with issues of keeping water inside the shower area, re: seals, sloping of my shower base edge, best height of door, choice of hardware colour, and ease and quality of installation. They also offered prompt install dates, with no undue waiting time. Top stars all around!

Valon and his team did a fabulous job on my 2nd floor painting job. Not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Impressed that they use a sprayer to apply paint to trim and doors for a lovely smooth professional finish. (Not many companies use it) Beautiful clean edges, and Mario (primary painter) fixed up some flaws left after the Drywallers primed, before painting which was great. They were careful to apply drop sheets everywhere to protect my bathroom fixtures etc. They were patient as we had to decide which wall colour to go with. They stood behind their work, and came back to do touch ups and to fix a scratch on a door which wasn’t their fault, but not mine either (it came with a scratch from the door company unbeknownst to us) at no extra cost because he wanted to make sure we were pleased with their work. Tremendously pleased indeed! Gorgeous job! Thank you Mario! ThNk you Valon! We’ll call you when we’re ready for the 1st floor reno! And I’ll post pics soon.

This company was recommended to me by a friend who also had her backwater valve installed. Dymitry was professional and trustworthy from the first phone call and meeting. He procured the permit from the city and prepared the paperwork for the city reimbursement program, and arranged for the city inspector to come out. He gave me us a copy of the building permit as well which no contractor had ever done before; I was impressed by that. Drop sheets were put down across the kitchen floor and down to the basement to the work area. The area was kept tidy and soil put into bags until it was to be backfilled. In fact we were impressed with how tidy the area was after the hole had been dug and wondered where all the soil went! Here's where I didn't give them full stars: one of the workers dumped clay soil from the work area that was dug out in behind the shed where I had bulbs planted; a worker also filled a hole where I had prepared to plant something, with the 'left over' clay that wouldn't go back into the hole; clay that should've been taken off the property to a dump . Dymitry had no knowledge of this having happened, and when it was brought to his attention, he promptly returned the next day himself to correct the problem, despite car problems, to remove the clay his worker had dumped. I would give Dymitry full stars for his own level of workmanship, conscientiousness, respect to property, and politeness. He always communicated clearly to us what work was to be done and when a problem arose, he spoke to us about a solution and we moved forward. I would recommend this company again to friends and family, for installation of a mainline backwater valve, given Dimitry's high level of standards for his work.
