Sept 2024 Update - I am updating my review from 13 years ago to reflect most recent disappointing customer service and business ethics.
This review reflects my most recent experience with Deluxe Alarms. After 16 years with this company, we have decided not to renew our services due to a disappointing recent experience. About 1.5 months ago, the GSM light on our alarm system briefly turned on, then off. The following day, it remained on permanently. When we contacted customer service, we were told we needed to upgrade our system, which required signing a new 4-year contract at a higher pricewithout any prior notice.
Given weve been loyal customers, paying monthly, we expected better service. We requested assistance to simply disable the GSM light, especially since we were paying for monitoring that was no longer functional. Instead, they refused, stating a technician was needed, which would incur an additional service fee. This felt like nothing more than an attempt to extract more money from us.
As a result, weve cancelled our service. If youre looking for home alarm monitoring, I strongly recommend avoiding Deluxe Alarms.

2011 review - We've used Deluxe Alarms for the past three years and recently contacted them to inquire about renewal. I spoke with Silvana who I found very helpful as she was extremely patient, knowledgeable and provided some options to consider. Silvana was a pleasure to deal with and as such we have renewed with Deluxe Alarms.
