Having a requirement for a structural concrete pad to support the weight of a large oxygen storage tank to be installed for my hyperbaric oxygen therapy centre, I sent out emails to several concrete contractors asking for quotes. City Concrete was the only company to respond. Mohamed, the owner met with me on site and it was immediately apparent that he was a conscientious professional. Immediately upon receipt of our building permits from the City of Toronto, I call Mohamed and he was on site within hours and his crew arrived the following day to start the project. The concrete work had to start immediately in order for the opening of the centre to remain on schedule. It was going to be difficult. With the delays imposed by the City, we were a month behind schedule, early February and the weather was not cooperating. The ground was frozen. The crew worked long cold days, producing the pad to the precise specifications of Praxair (oxygen/oxygen tank supplier) and City of Toronto engineers. Particular care had to be taken to assure proper and full curing of the concrete. The workmanship was impeccable. This project was not only the concrete pad, it involved all the pre-excavation, forming, multi-layered rebar gridding, the actual pouring of the pad, plus the vehicular bumper guards and fencing required for safe storage of liquid oxygen. At all times, the City Concrete crew were courteous and respectful to the neighbouring businesses, as well as the other trades that were working on site. My new centre did open on schedule, many children started treatment on the first day of their March break which was the goal. I would highly recommend City Concrete. Thank you Mohamed, and the entire crew from City Concrete.
