We needed a bin shed for the small front yard of our home. It had to look good, work well and be well made and durable. After considering the various plastic and wooden offerings from the usual big box and on-line retailers (which generally received dismal on-line reviews for quality) we were happy to find a local firm offering a quality product. You could pay less for an overseas product but you would be unlikely to end up with a bin shed that is as attractive, sturdy, and cleverly-designed as a Bin Solutions shed. The shed is made to a high tolerance of fit using select western red cedar. The prop to hold the top open, and the racoon-proof door latching system, are ingenious in their simplicity and do not rely on cheap metal components that might fail or rust. I was initially reluctant to pay for delivery and installation but I'm glad I did. Zion and his colleague were meticulous in ensuring everything was squared and levelled-up properly. Incidentally, it was a pleasure dealing with Zion whose communications were prompt and professional. The bin shed in it's plain unfinished state is quite attractive and will naturally weather to a grey colour. However we decided to stain ours to match our house. If you decide to do the same just be advised that this is a fairly detailed and time-consuming task (somewhat akin to painting unfinished louvred closet doors if you've ever done that). That's really my only caveat, we are very pleased with our Bin Solutions shed.

Iari did a great job replacing the old decks on our home. Small size can lead to design complexities, especially on our old Greektown house, but Iari provided thoughtful design advice and led us to good solutions in layout and material choices. We were particularly impressed by the speed and hard work he put in to completing the job and the quality construction techniques and materials he applied. He is clearly a perfectionist and sets a high standard of craftsmanship for the work he puts his name on. Usually on a project you can have any two of "fast", "cheap" or "good" but in our case we felt we received all 3. We could not have been happier with the results.

This spring we discovered a raccoon family (mum & young) nesting in my father-in-law's attic, gaining access through a hole chewed in the wooden soffit of his home. We called Scott because, although we had not used his services before, he's based near my father-in-law's home. After leaving a message for him he called us back within minutes and arrived on site the same afternoon. He was very thorough in assessing the situation and patient in describing the best approach to us. He installed a one way door in the soffit to evict the mum and, after assessing the size of the young, ensured his solution would allow them to leave too. He returned daily over the next few days to check and ensure they had all truly left and then installed a sturdy sheet metal patch in the soffit. Scott impressed us with his professional approach and his patience with my elderly father-in-law. We found his rate competitive with services he have priced for other situations and well worth it to have the raccoons humanely evicted. We recently recommended his service to our neighbours when they discovered a squirrel problem and would not hesitate to use Liddle Rascals again.

We had Dave's crew clean our ducts in early Dec '14. First time we've had the ducts done in the 7 years we've owned our home, so we were initially reticent about dealing with a duct cleaning service (given the nuisance phone calls we've had from other services looking for business) and weren't sure what to expect. Dave's guys were absolutely professional, hard working, pleasant and did a stellar job. They had a very positive attitude and went above-and-beyond the call of duty (e.g. to deal with a duct that had become disconnected in an inaccessible area). At the outset they explained the process to us - what they would do, how long it would take, and what results we could expect. They took before & after photos of the inside of the principal ducts - what an amazing difference! They stood by the initial cost estimate and, given the time and effort required for the job, we felt we received excellent value for our money. We needed to replace the concrete walkway between our home and our next door neighbours. We were concerned that the work not damage the foundation wall parging on either home, and would rectify drainage issues we've had. Mike responded quickly to our request for a quote, and was able to schedule the job quickly too. He and his crew did a great job, taking great care to correct the grade and marry the new concrete with the existing parging. His quote was competitive, the quality of the work was excellent, and his crew are professional, polite, and accommodating. We're very pleased with the results.
