My boyfriend called and had a technician come to service by LG dishwasher, barely used. I bought it brand new and maybe used it 7 times. The technician said he cleaned it out as it was 'clogged' which seems impossible as I've barely used it. However, he is the expert. He charged $310.00, and as I was still at work I was asked to e-transfer the money after receiving the invoice via email. The invoice indicated if still not working needs a new drain pump which I noticed after the fact. I did, as he wanted to leave to do another job. I got home and my dishwasher still didn't work. I called, he came back the next day and told me it needed a new door latch for an additional $237 plus tax. I refused and said I paid money already and was told it was fixed, I looked online and the part was $50 on the LG website. The company refused to allow me to speak to a manager, each time saying they'd call back (5 x) and never did. They said they'd send another technician to confirm what part was needed at the invoice had another part listed and they never did. I asked to just pay the $50 part cost and was told no it's $237 plus tax again. They stopped responding to my emails. I had to call another tech who replaced the door latch and charged me $100 including labour.
