After discovering a leak in our basement (bungalow built in 1960 with block basement walls), we called 6 top rated companies from the HomeStars site for an estimate. One of them did not show up for the scheduled appointment (and never called back), one gave us their price on a business card and one company pushed for an interior solution. Our short list included 3 companies that were on time for the initial estimate appointment, took their time for an inspection & solution/options presentation, and prepared detailed estimates in writing. All 3 companies provided estimates 20-30 minutes after the inspection and their prices were within a few hundred dollars.
Fedor from Aquamaster Drain, Plumbing & Waterproofing was our final choice and it was a good one. The scope included original concrete sidewalk removal, exterior waterproofing and a new concrete sidewalk. His team initially started the work on a 30 ft length, but we had to extend the work along the whole wall of 53 ft due to numerous cracks discovered. Each day there were 2 and sometimes 3 workers (limited work space). They had to use our neighbor’s driveway, but they kept it safe and cleaned it thoroughly after the work was completed. The total project took approximately 7 days (with 2 days down for rain). I liked that they did not rush just to finish the job quickly, but took the time for all the phases to be done properly. They were always on time, professional and courteous. Overall, we had a great experience with this company! I highly recommend Fedor and Aquamaster for any waterproofing work.
