I am writing this review based on my experience today. Urban barn is one of my favorite home decor stores in our area. I refer my family and friends on a regular basis (hense my 5 star recommendation). I married 3 weeks ago and had UB as our gift registry. We received many items as gifts and also purchased a new bed last week. Today I went to UB with the intention of purchasing several items including a duvet, area rugs, picture frames, pillows and a couple of odd items. When I arrived the store was very quiet with multiple staff on. The woman helping me was friendly but not very knowledgeable of the items in store (I believe she was on her first day so very understandable) but after inquiring about an item and waiting 15 minutes and having to find her for a response I began to get fedup. When I finally decided I'd had enough waiting I took my now 2 items to the counter where 3 workers stood around. The woman at the register acknowledged me and continued to do her work. I assumed she would quickly finish what she was doing and then help me. 10 min went by before she asked where the woman helping me initially went. She asked a co-worker to help me and instead that woman helped the woman behind me. Needless to say I had one bad experience after the other. There were so many opportunities for the employees to make it right. It is better to be asked several times if I could use help than to ignore and assume I'm okay. My fault for assuming she would ring me in while she stood at the register, but in all fairness I was the customer and should have been her #1 priority. I hope my next visit will be a better one!
