I moved from Montreal to South Carolina for a new job and moved both my (small) apartment belongings and research equipment from my research laboratory.... during the COVID-19 pandemic! We had to communicate throughout the process, wait for paperwork to arrive, and get permission to access our research facilities to pack and load materials during lockdown. Communication was open and we navigated effectively a process that is normally complex but was made almost impossible by the ongoing pandemic. I like that it is largely a family business and that the owners have high education and the emotional intelligence to know (and remind us) that a move is a very stressful event in one's life and that feelings of overwhelm are normal. The material was packed extremely well. I particularly appreciated to see that my boxes with the lab instrumentation were placed on the truck's axel (?) where vibrations are less. Furniture withstands vibrations without a flinch, but research instrumentation does not. Everything arrived in working order. Brent was very professional and has specific knowledge of the physics of moving that gives his business an edge and allows them to assist moves effectively, even long-distance, even delicate equipment. Finally, the owners have exceptional human qualities. To me that is crucial. Highly recommended!
