My husband and I are looking to purchase our first home. When we found a beautiful Victorian home with loads of charm and potential we hired John to come with us to our home inspection. I cannot say enough good things about John himself. He was honest and realistic, two qualities that are so very important to us, especially when buying our first home. He taught me a lot about what to look for, and gave us honest ball park quotes for what it would cost to make the home (A)safe and (B)beautiful, just like we envisioned. As a result of the inspection we decided not to put in an offer, as the hazards of the home were just too great. But we will definitely be hiring John again to come inspect the next home we're serious about buying. His knowledge is absolutely invaluable. And when it comes time to do our renovations we will certainly be hiring Oborne to drive those.

After much research and subsequent consultation with our realtor we decided to hire Brent of Classic Home Inspections to inspect a 120+ year old Victorian home we were thinking of purchasing. As a young family looking to purchase our first home we were worried about everything that could be wrong with a house of this nature. Brent came in and gave us an incredibly honest and diligent inspection. He went over every inch of the home, explained in detail all of the issues, and why they could potentially be huge hazards to our family. He took lots of photographs and gave us only the most honest answers to our questions. After Brent's inspection of the home we decided it would be best not to put in an offer, as the multitude of serious issues had grown to be too much for us. Although we haven't purchased the home, or put in an offer, I am incredibly thankful for the inspection, not only did Brent save us from making a huge mistake with one of the biggest investments of our lives, but I learned so much about what to look for at our next home viewing. Let me tell you, I will be spending a lot more time in the basement and much less time marveling at the crown molding. We will 100% be calling Brent back again next time we are interested in a home, and hopefully next time will be "the one". Thank you Brent!
