I had several drywall repair and painting requirements including some drywall seams that had split due to the house settling and our main floor ceiling which had several small water leak damaged areas. I phoned several highly rated painting companies ... Dee from ColourWorks promptly returned my call and set up a quick site visit to assess the job and provide a quote. Dee was professional and courteous upon entering our home and looked closely for the best approach to our issues. Dee provided a competitive quote and was also able to provide a full service repair and paint solution. As a side note, I had some painters who wanted me to get another contractor to do the repairs and then they would paint. MUCH more convenient and efficient to have the same crew take care of the one issue. And this is pretty common too. Dee sent painter Dale to our home shortly after agreeing to the quote and we could not have been happier. Dale was meticulous, polite, on time, tidy and most of all .... knew what to do to repair the various areas and paint them professionally so you cannot see the patches. A complete pleasure dealing with Dee and Dale and I now know exactly who to call next time I need some paint work done in my home. Atiar at High Tech Appliance Service was very quick to respond to our call to check our Dryer. We had a smell of burning that obviously concerned us as well as the dryer taking forever to dry a load. Atiar took the dryer apart and discovered lint had been backed up and blown into the dryer itself. Atiar provided a clear and fair quote and we proceeded. He completely vacuumed the entire dryer and recommended we have the venting inspected and cleaned out (which we did and discovered a completely faulty vent system which needed replacing). Our dryer had been struggling for some time and we felt our venting was probably not working properly. We called Tyler at Dryer Vent Wizard because they actually inspect and repair faulty dryer vents as opposed to just cleaning the vent (which we had done previously with another company, who did not identify the real problem of a completely flawed vent). Tyler returned our call promptly and booked an immediate appointment. Tyler and his son arrived on time and quickly inspected our dryer vent situation from the second floor laundry closet, the attic, and the roof. It was quickly determined that our vent was completely blocked and we were lucky to not have complete dryer failure or worse ... a dryer/vent fire. Tyler identified that the incorrect roof vent cover had been installed (causing water to enter our vent) and the venting was dislodged in the attic (causing moisture buildup) as well as improper vent materials were used to connect the dryer. A disaster of a job done by our home builder! Tyler provided a clear and fair quote which we accepted. Tyler and his son completed the work necessary on the same day in a quick and professional manner and took great care of our home at the same time. We now have a dryer that works (and will be much more energy efficient) and the venting is done properly ensuring we will not have a lint fire. Michael at WaterWorks responded to our call promptly and quickly identified the potential leak sources in our bathtub/shower that was leaking through our kitchen ceiling. Michael provided recommendations and clear service quotes. With some further investigation he was able to pinpoint the leak which was the result of a faulty initial installation and was able to fix the problem same day.
