I generally, I do not write reviews but I wanted to share our story with this company. On July/30/2021 we signed contract for custom patio door supply and installation with Weather PRO sales manager and processed deposit for the service. Two days later installers came to verify dimensions stated in contract, and dimensions were confirmed accurate. Two weeks later, I received another call regarding measurements verification visit by the installer, it was somewhat concerning but still no red flag. On Oct/05/2021 I received phone call from Weather PRO office regarding the update of our door delivery and we were told door will arrive in Calgary on Oct/25th and Installation will be scheduled after that. However, on Oct/15th received phone call regarding the door delivery confirmation and installation was schedule for Oct/18th, between 9-11 am. Somewhere around noon received another phone call that installation has to be moved to the next day, Tuesday. Finally installer arrived on Tuesday, removed our existing patio door, in destroying it completely manner, going to his trailer to get new door performing measurement confirmation and telling us the received door is 4" wider than our frame. That night we spent with cardboard on our patio door, with outside temperature at night being close to zero Celsius. We did not sleep at all that night. In my two conversations with sales manager, next day, I got the answer he will check what installer and head office and will let us know about solution. He has never called us back. Keep in mid, heavy rain was forecasted for Friday with rapid temperature drop, we were panicking. Next day, Wednesday, installer shows up at our door , at around 2 pm, telling us retrofitting our door frame is the only solution, since replacement door would be 2 months away and can't be installed in mid winter . He started cutting our drywall, retrofitting door header reducing double heather supporting posts to single, cutting external sheeting and vinyl siding to accommodate for wider door. Installer left our house at around 11 pm that night, with door being finally installed. Door trims where installed next day and covered uneven external sheeting and vinyl siding cuts. No sheeting cuts were weather sealed with tape nor sheeting ends nailed to the header posts. Currently going through hurdles of the door outstanding balance beyond our clear understanding the real issue as they have required info on file and shall be just matter of processing charges and sending receipt. We do not believe we shall be charged for the service as the supplied and installed door not matching dimensions on the contract All in all, we consider installed door being temporary solution until spring and will have to restore our door frame, surrounding sheeting, drywall, Tyvek wrap and vinyl siding to the original state and desired door installed with different vendor.
