4 years ago I discovered John at Sarman Air and he fixed the ignitor on my furnace. Last week, my furnace stopped working. I called him, because he is the only one I trusted. This time around, my furnace's control board wasn't working properly. With the age of my furnace (16 years) and discontinued the year after it was installed, OEM parts were not available and a non-OEM replacement was not cheap. John advised it would be more cost effective to get a new furnace instead of putting money into the current one. John kept me updated during the scheduling process and his team was prompt on install day. He noticed another deficiency the previous company didn't notice 16 years ago (lack of fresh air intake) and resolved that as well. 3 hours after the team arrived, heat was running from the new unit. John provides amazing service and answers all questions. He enjoys helping customers to understand their systems better and happily shares his extensive knowledge. I trust him implicitly with all my HVAC and gas needs.

I woke up Saturday morning to find the house cold - 6 degrees colder than when the family went to bed. The furnace wasn't igniting the gas. After calling a different company, 2 hours went by without a call back to know if someone would be able to come out same or next day. I cancelled the call and discovered Sarman Air and the reviews on HomeStars. I called the number and received a prompt call back from John. I told him my issue and concern, due to weather being below freezing for the night. He was at my house in under an hour. He hadn't planned to take any calls, but he took my emergency. In under an hour, he diagnosed the problem, and with the supplies in his van, he had the perfect solution and the heat was back on, less than 2 hours when I first contacted him. Even after he made the diagnosis, he did a couple of checks just to confirm he wasn't missing anything. His fees are very reasonable and fair. Courteous, experienced and diligent. And I didn't have to go through a call centre. I was able to speak to him directly. I am happy to know there are genuine, honest professionals like John. And even happier I discovered him on HomeStars!

My furnace was making strange noises. I called Dupont on the advice of a friend. They were upfront with their fees, which I found competitive, but more importantly I was seeking a company I could trust after having a very bad experience with a major product and services company. Dupont diagnosed the problem quickly and answered all my questions. I had been negligent with maintenance because of my awful experience with the other company. Dupont explained the furnace safety shut off features so that I better understood the noises. I am a proud and happy new customer of theirs and most importantly am relieved I can trust them to carry out the maintenance I need.

Ordered a garage door and opener with installation services in May. The sub-contractor for Home Depot came to take measurements - all of 5 minutes, and wouldn't answer any questions we had about the process. The guy couldn't jump in his truck fast enough. Once getting a revised priced due to a door sizing change, my husband paid over the phone with credit card. When I went to the store to get a copy of the receipt that shows we paid (and for tax purposes), the customer service desk associate claimed he could not print one out, then as he was dealing with me, took a personal phone call, which he didn't want to put down, even though I had other questions and issues needing a resolution. After arguing for half an hour I finally got a printed receipt. I asked for someone else to help me and was refused. I thought the associate would have been more than happy to dump me onto someone else so he could finish his personal call in silence. I then called the sub-contractor to confirm that they were going to install the garage door AND opener that we had ordered from day 1. She said she had no record of a garage door opener needing installation. I called Home Depot back - both the project coordinator and manager were on vacation with no backup. The assistant manager assured me everything would be resolved. The next week the installer came, looked at my existing door and said he could not install the new door or the opener. I called the project coordinator who got flustered, as he was just coming back from vacation and didn't seem to want to get his hands dirty quite so soon. After arguing with him on the phone and waiting a couple of hours to find out what was going on (the installer left by then, but only after asking me to sign that the work was completed!!!! He had done NOTHING. I told him no.) I decided to escalate to the store manager, Robert Peters. Finally, he got it, and understood that a Lowe's has just opened in the area. Another day gone, and they finally figured out the problem. A week later the same installer set up my door and opener, although I still had to press him to make sure he covered the full operation and quick release with me. I am happy that my door is finally installed. Although it is now working perfectly, I would never recommend their services to anyone and will never use their installation ever again. Too many people at all levels not realizing that delivering on basic services is mandatory if you want to stay in business. I can only hope that the store manager realizes he needs to fire some of them. It should not have been this hard or required me to call the store manager.

We hired Tom Trucker to move our furniture to a new house. Bruce, Nate and Anton came to the house and were the most courteous people we've met. They were pleasant, quick and were extremely organized. We would use them again without question. No damage to furniture or the house. They also charged partial hours, where most companies round up. Made our move an extremely positive experience.
