We hired Personal Movers to move 20 prepacked boxes and our large furniture a few blocks away. Considering everything was ready for them and they had our inventory well in advance it took them 10-1/2 hours and 2 trips. We have a few major damages, like a chair and mirror and quite a few scratches and dents on other furniture and house. We felt that most of the 4 man crew were inexperienced and not as careful as required. They also had the advantage of walkouts in the basement of both locations, no small or fragile items, and not a big house move. So although the crew was pleasant to work with, overall not a great experience.

We would like to take this opportunity to answer to important points you brought up in your feedback.You were moving from a 4 bedroom, 2,100 square feet house and we sent the biggest truck you can get for residential moves to complete this move for you. You are correct when saying that we did take the inventory with you over the phone on the day you booked this move with us. Unfortunately, when the movers arrived to you pick up location there was more than a double of what you listed on the inventory. It is very important to let the moving company you are hiring know that there will be extra items moved, so that could be added to the inventory and you and the movers can plan the schedule accordingly. That way we would also be able to give you more realistic expectations in terms of how long the move will take and a more accurate estimated price. Luckily the distance to your drop off location was not long and the movers were able to complete moving 2 full loads in a timely manner.
We would like to apologize for the damages that occurred during your move. Our movers always wrap every single piece of furniture for a safe transportation to avoid unessasery damage. Having said that the damages did occur still and we do apologize for such a mishap on our part! This is not something we are known for. We are happy to know that this situation has been rectified and you were compensated accordingly.
