Changed the hourly rate without informing me
I was told they would be charging $110/hour and they'd be sending two cleaners for my appointment. At the END of the service they told me that because they sent three cleaners the price was (much) higher, but they were unable to explain to me what the new hourly rate was. After an argumentative follow-up call with the owner, he informed me that he "actually saved me so much money" because it would have taken them so much longer with just two cleaners. Of course, my position is that 1) I agreed to a certain rate not contingent on headcount: $110/hr, not his $165/hr and 2) had a 2 person cleaning session gone to a certain hour, I would have had the autonomy to cap the hours beyond what I expected to pay. I called other Molly Maid franchises to ask if they charged a higher hourly rate for sending a 3rd cleaner and the unanimous answer was NO. It was a flat $110 per hour. They called me to say they were going to be late, couldn't they have called to tell me the rate change?
