The office is very responsive and efficient, the painters are pleasant and cleaned up well. However, the quote should be accurate and the company willing to stand by it. It is very difficult for the customer to be faced with changes in the quote and work to be done on the day that a job is to start. Update: I don't think that 'happy' is the correct word for the outcome. I was trying to be diplomatic and consider that perhaps I just happened to be on the wrong end of a 'bad day'. While I was not happy, I can understand a mistake or omission in the quote and we agreed to split the cost. However, I don't understand why you thought it was okay to change the type of paint without discussion just to avoid having to prime the surfaces. Then, after you have already started painting, you insisted that I pony up another $500 because you cannot reach a 'peak' without renting some equipment. My knowledge of the intricacies of painting is very limited. I depend on experts like you to know what is required to get the job done, and to provide an accurate quote. I prefer not to have surprises AFTER the job has been initiated.

We really did not see there being an issue with the project other than the initial misunderstanding which was resolved quickly once clarified in person. In the end the job was completed and we understand everyone was happy.
