Our problem started when we first moved into our home in 2006...there was a leak in the master bedroom ceiling. It was fixed (or so we thought) as a result of our Tarion agreement which is standard for all new homes. Fast forward to today...the roof started leaking again and was no longer covered. We had a very positive experience with Mr. Roof Repair and the team that worked on the roof (Piatro sp?) in Nov 2012. Piatro was very knowledgeable and provided us with very detailed information and pictures to show the handiwork of the builder and subsequent temporary repair. When he initially did the temporary repair, we didn’t expect the fix to be the black paste (sorry, don’t remember the exact terminology for it). But after we did the permanent fix, we were very happy with the result. Aesthetically, the job was fantastically done. You can’t even tell that a repair was done…the roof match was perfect. Only the rain and snow will tell us if the repair was successful. So far, no subsequent leaks with the fall rain and winter weather. Their prompt response to our request as well as their flexibility to fit us in to their schedule was much appreciated and didn’t go unnoticed; early on in our search for a contractor, we heard back from a few contractors that our job was either too small or not worth the trip to Markham but Mr. Roof Repair definitely made us feel like they valued our business. In addition, their quote was reasonable compared to what others were offering and we didn't feel like they were trying to up-sell things we didn't need.
