We recently renovated our home and needed to have the ducts cleaned before moving in. We hired this person based on a friend's referral. He was at the house for a couple of hours and when I met him he was very polite and professional. He even told us this house has never had a duct cleaning, then advised us to change our filters every 3 months and what type of filter to get. I found the price reasonable and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Our contractor can get us a discount with this company so we came here. They have a ton of selection on floor and wall tiles but I couldn't find anything I liked for the backsplash. I also didn't find the service to be that great, when asking for help to narrow down tiles, I was just told to go look in the showroom with the overwhelming selection. I think service could be improved if they were trained to ask questions to help narrow down the types/ styles that we can go look at and decide. No one bothered to explain the process of getting samples or to order, had to go figure this out and can be frustrating when pressed for time.

I got a permit for a basement walkout but because it required underpinning the quotes I got from various contractors were really high. Lindsay Contracting gave a reasonable quote and since they were recommended I decided to go with them. They came prepared with a contract detailing their responsibilities and what they cover, which I found very professional (not all contractors provided this documented service and I've had to hand write bullet points of what I expect). We had an issue where the walkout was beside a shed with no foundation. Roy, the foreman?, was able to suggest building part of the walkout wall under the shed, thereby adding a foundation to the shed while building the walkout at the same time. I appreciate how they are solution oriented when unexpected things come up and they are extremely knowledgable about what is to code and what is not, which is helpful for working around situations that come up. They are also able to explain in layman terms for someone who is inexperienced with home renos unlike other contractors that we've spoken to. They also gave the best estimate for completion and basically stuck to it. The best is the final product, which is AMAZING! Everyone who has seen the work, including other contractors are impressed with it. I can't be more pleased with this company and have since asked them to come back to help with other things. We also asked them to waterproof the interior of our basement, replace the wooden beams and posts with steel and level our floors. Basement height was a concern as a late realization, but they worked with us and now I have no complaints with the final basement height after renovations.
