I've had a perpetual issue with pavement ants coming into my home under my patio doors for a number of years now. At their worst, when I was trying to deal with it myself, they would come up into my kitchen by the hundreds, and I'd even have a dozen or more flying ants flying around as well. I've also had some other pest control companies help out in the past and they've done a reasonably good job of keeping the ants at bay, at least on the inside. Joe went above and beyond all that and I've yet to see a single ant inside or outside in the areas he treated. Instead of just treating the areas he could see, Joe went so far as to pull down the insulation in the basement, caulk up any holes he could find where the ants were able to get in, and lay down a ton of the dust along the edges that were otherwise hidden behind the insulation. He also did a great job returning all the insulation when he was finished the job. I really couldn't be happier with the work that was done. I feel now like I won't need to treat this issue very year and I won't start to panic at the first hint of warm weather for fear of the ant arming marching its way up into my kitchen. I had noticed a pooling puddle under my furnace that wasn't going away, as well as my electronic filter making erratic clicking noises - much more than is regular, and decided it was time to have someone come to take a look. I was able to book an appointment via e-mail with Janice for the following day, and Richard arrived right on schedule to look at my system. He performed the work quickly and professionally and was able to offer me tips for how to prevent the issue from happening again going forward. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

From the first moment I called Cascade Appliance Service Limited to the moment my oven turned back on, it was a great experience that was completely professional, fast, and knowledgeable. My oven decided to break on New Year's Day and I started to call the top 5 repair service on Homestars. One after another, most other places were either obviously closed or lacking good customer service. When I called Cascade, Steve's 'office manager' was incredibly courteous, warm, professional and knowledgeable. She was able to help figure out a quote for the most common problem and book an appointment within minutes. I was pretty impressed considering other places didn't even want to think what would be the most common root cause for the failure. It was like pulling teeth to get a general range for the costs from the other repair service. Steve arrived exactly on time and sure enough, they were right about what failed... he was saying the ignitor failing is most the common occurrence with all the symptoms described on the phone. Since they had a general idea what was the solution, they were smart and asked for the model number ahead of time to get the part. So when he confirmed the issue after checking everything out, he had the exact part ready and everything was fixed in less than an hour. I definitely appreciated how they accepted credit cards as well and he even had a pretty amazing attachment on his iPad to get approval on my card. The cost was very reasonable compared to all the other quotes especially since I called on New Years and they were able to come within 24 hours. I hope to never have another appliance breakdown (especially on a holiday) but if I ever do, I will definitely go back to Cascade and use them again. I highly recommend them for professional, quick, and high quality service that is well priced.

My home's garage doors were falling apart and to spend at least $2k+ on a pair of garage doors, I wanted someone good. Steve (the owner) was phenomenal. If I ever think to a great home service, he would be one of my top 3 all time favourites. He is very honest, upfront, and incredibly versed in good customer service. His prices were very fair. It was cheaper than a well known vendor for a comparable (possibly better!) product. We ordered our garage doors with full installation from him. His work was spotless, pristine, and showed a lot of great workmanship. It's something I would hope all house repairs/installation would be and yet doubt it would happen. BUT it did happen with my garage doors. Steve was just so great. A small minor order mix up occurred and Steve was so professional and great about everything. He fixed all the issues immediately. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a new garage door or something fixed. It is small businesses like this one that makes me believe we should support them 100%. The big box vendors should take notes and lessons from him! This is how you do business on garage doors installations and repairs!

Pavement ants have made the foundation under my patio doors their home and every spring/summer they bubble up and invade my kitchen. A few years ago I had Kevin come and do some spraying for me and the problem was gone. He did tell me that there was no real way to completely eliminate them, but the treatment would last for at least a year. I figured I'd try to save some money and do some spraying myself, and boy was that a mistake. Despite my best efforts last year, come summertime I was sharing my kitchen with massive numbers of ants. This year I decided to give Kevin a call and once again my family and I are the only ones enjoying our kitchen. Kevin is always extremely pleasant and punctual, and a pleasure to deal with. Definitely recommend giving them a call.

After dealing with ADT for years, I can't say enough good things about SafeTech. I cancelled my home phone line which rendered my existing monitoring obsolete. After spending way too much time on the phone talking to literally dozens of different ADT service reps, they told me it would cost $300 plus an extra $8-12/month to upgrade to a GSM monitoring module (after being a customer for 5+ years). So, I put in a request on the SafeTech website for an estimate, and within hours Sean was in touch with me via both phone and email. We discussed my needs and the existing system to come up with the best solution for my situation (which turned out to be replacing my panel, installing an Internet monitoring module, and the addition of 2 wireless transmitters). Sean was very knowledgeable about the available options and my existing equipment. This was all on a Friday night, after hours, and he booked me for an installation the following Monday. The technician phoned on Monday to confirm the appointment, and was even able to come ahead of schedule. The installation went smoothly and everything has been working as expected. The one issue I had was the garage entry did not have an entry delay, but I phoned their Tech Support and they fixed it for me within minutes. Amazing customer service. I wish I would have switched over sooner!
