I've had a perpetual issue with pavement ants coming into my home under my patio doors for a number of years now. At their worst, when I was trying to deal with it myself, they would come up into my kitchen by the hundreds, and I'd even have a dozen or more flying ants flying around as well. I've also had some other pest control companies help out in the past and they've done a reasonably good job of keeping the ants at bay, at least on the inside. Joe went above and beyond all that and I've yet to see a single ant inside or outside in the areas he treated. Instead of just treating the areas he could see, Joe went so far as to pull down the insulation in the basement, caulk up any holes he could find where the ants were able to get in, and lay down a ton of the dust along the edges that were otherwise hidden behind the insulation. He also did a great job returning all the insulation when he was finished the job. I really couldn't be happier with the work that was done. I feel now like I won't need to treat this issue very year and I won't start to panic at the first hint of warm weather for fear of the ant arming marching its way up into my kitchen. Thanks so much, Joe!

Thanks for your review. Pavement ants and patterned concrete seem to go hand in hand. Clearly, the issue revolved around submerged foundation at the stair level. The insulation was removed and treated with a residual dust, then reinstalled. Also the seam and the lower plate were sealed with silicone. If an ant could possibly make it in to that basement from this location in the future it will perish. Why no other exterminator could not take the 30 minutes to do this one step is beyond me.
