We had our basement carpets and a couch, love seat and chair cleaned by Kody. He was great at communicating his (early) arrival, very friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care in protecting our floors (wore indoor shoes) and walls (used plastic corner protectors). All our carpet stains were removed and our furniture looks and smells great. He even did a bit of extra carpet cleaning for free b/c of some pre-treatment overspray that went on our upstairs carpet when he was cleaning our furniture. Mark (the owner) also dropped by to teach Kody how to use some new equipment and he was very friendly, professional, and provided a helpful carpet cleaning quote on the spot for our entire house. We're very happy with the service provided by Dang Good Carpet Cleaning from the initial telephone call to the cleaning service. I highly recommend this company and will be going to them for my future carpet and furniture cleaning needs.

*UPDATE*: Since writing this review and giving Arpi's a '2' for satisfaction and '3' for recommendation, I've since increased both ratings to a '4' and '5', respectively, based on the fact that an Arpi's customer service person called me the next business day and apologized numerous times for the error and poor service. He explained to me that the error shouldn't have occurred and that they use a call centre after hours who don't have access to their customer database for privacy reasons, which is why the agent wasn't privvy to my customer history. He also confirmed that I wouldn't have been charged if a technician was required. He assured me that someone will be speaking to Kelly about the error and to the call centre about how they address customers. Overall, I'm VERY satisfied with how quickly and directly Arpi's addressed my concerns and frustrations. I bought a new Furnace and A/C from Arpi's last March (2021) and the service was excellent. However, the annual maintenance inspection this week did not go nearly as well. I booked the annual maintenance inspection on the furnace, A/C, humidifier and hot water tank on June 4, 2022, as part of our VIP Platinum Loyalty Program. The maintenance seemed to go well (Kelly was nice, friendly and professional) until I had a shower the next morning and noticed there was no hot water. I called Arpi's and said it was certainly an error made by the technician since the hot water was working previous to the service call. The agent informed me that I would likely have to pay their after-hours rate of approx $185/hr for someone to come out to check it. I told her that was ridiculous given the maintenance call was free as part of our VIP program membership and it was their error. She said someone would call me to confirm but it was likely I'd have to pay that rate. She also confirmed that since Arpi's is closed on the weekends, the rate is higher since it's considered outside of their business hours. So, basically, since Arpi's chooses to close on the weekends, customers get penalized (!!), especially on Saturdays when many customers are off work and have time to dedicate to repair calls. I mentioned that if I called another business, most of which ARE open on Saturdays, that I'd get a lower price. She said that was likely. So, I said if a technician is needed and I'm going to be charged $185 b/c Arpi's chooses to close on the weekends (completely inconvenient for full-time working customers), then they'd lose my business and I'd go elsewhere. The agent also treated me like I was a brand new customer. She asked for all my info and I said I was in their database since I spent over $12K last year on equipment and installation and I also pay $440 each year to be a member of the Platinum Program, but she said after-hours staff don't have access to the database. It made me feel like I was not a valued customer at all! In the end, a technician was not needed. Kelly, the technician from the previous day, had turned down the water heater to low and never turned it back up before he left. Given that error, as well as finding out Arpi's charges increased rates on the weekends (unlike other businesses) and that I was not treated like a valued customer, I was quite angry and disappointed overall in the service provided.

Jayson was friendly, knowledgeable and professional during the consultation and throughout the process from booking to billing. The staff who came to top up our insulation were efficient and professional, and kept everything covered and clean. I would have liked before and after photos, but overall we were happy with the service provided.

Don and his team are amazing! If you want a perfectionist who has a keen eye for detail, is honest, trustworthy, friendly and professional, Don is definitely your guy! Our laundry room renovation turned out better than we had expected, thanks to some helpful suggestions from Don, and the herringbone tile work in the entry way and 1/2 bath is absolutely gorgeous - straight out of House and Home magazine! Don and his team provided expert service and excellent workmanship. We will definitely be using them for all our future renovations (paints jobs too) and recommending them to everyone we know. Michael Lacey of Calgary Lock and Safe replaced all of our deadbolts after we moved into a new house. He was extremely knowledgeable, honest and friendly. Michael educated us on the do's and don't's regarding lock security and quality. I appreciated that he was cognizant of our situation with having numerous other moving expenses to deal with and as such, did not try to sell us on more equipment than was necessary. We were very happy with the service that was provided by Michael and we would definitely recommend him and the company to others.

Waterworks Group Inc. was recommended to us by another hot water heater company whose schedule was too busy to accommodate our emergency call (water tank was leaking out the bottom). The technician called us back that evening and said he could come at 9am the next morning to look at it. Nick or Nate (can't recall the technician's name) was on time, very knowledgeable, friendly and did not try to upsell me on installing unnecessary equipment. I appreciated the education he provided on water softeners (bad for hot water tanks) and how tankless systems don't work well unless the home was built with one in place. I was thankful Waterworks was able to respond as quickly as they did, Our new hot water tank is working liking a dream. I highly recommend this company's service.

We used Sentinal Storage (Chaparral) for four months when we moved from Edmonton to Calgary but had not yet moved into a new home. The Chaparral staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The facility was immaculate, modern, very clean, safe, secure and had lots of handy equipment for people to use when unloading or loading their items. The prices were reasonable, consistent with the average storage rental costs in Calgary. We were very happy with Sentinal Storage (Chaparral) and would definitely use them again.

Bill cleaned the carpets of our new 2,200 square foot home before we moved in. He was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. I have never seen someone so particular about carpet cleaning before...he even trimmed the carpet on our stairs with scissors so they looked consistent!!! Amazing! I highly recommend Bill and will definitely use him in the future.

Deb was simply amazing! She painted the interior of our new 2,200 square foot home before we moved in. She was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Her attention to detail and perfectionism was apparent from the time she did our quote to the very last wall she painted...anything less than perfect just wasn't good enough for her. She went over and above what was included in the quote such as doing some tricky wall repairs which we very much appreciated. Deb's prices were reasonable and she came in on quote. We would HIGHLY recommend Deb for any painting projects and will definitely use her again in the future.

Highland Moving & Storage moved our family from Edmonton to Calgary at the end of June 2012. Becka, our sales consultant, was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful in terms of answering all our questions. Donna, our move coordinator, was friendly and handled the details of our move with ease. Our moving team, Sam, Pat and Sean, moved us out of our house and into a storage facility in Calgary. They were on time, professional, friendly, helpful and reassuring. They were extremely careful with our items and did not damage any walls or any of our items. Highland Moving definitely took the stress out of what was a very chaotic time in our lives. In November, Highland Moving moved our items from the storage unit into our new house in Calgary. Our experience with their service the second time around was just as exceptional. The staff was professional and friendly (administration and movers), the movers paid a lot of care and attention to the items being moved (no reported damage to items) and they were mindful of the flooring in the house (all floors were covered with carpets). They were also punctual and helpful. We were extremely satisfied with the service provided by Highland both times we moved. We would definitely use them again and will recommend them to everyone we know.
