My garage door quit going up and down, apparently a spring was broken. I put out the request on Home Stars and Tony called me within 20 minutes I guess. He made an appointment to come replace the springs the next day at 3:30pm. He showed up perfectly on time. We chatted a bit and I told him the story - thinking I needed 2 new springs. He asked if I'd consider replacing the entire door because it is ... gulp ... badly needing replacement. (I bought this house 9 years ago and it the same door still - and yes, it did BADLY need replacement). I told him a new door isn't in the budget, and he said "oh I totally understand". I honestly thought a new door would cost me $7k to $8k. So, I asked him how much it would cost to replace the door. Much o my surprise, Tony told me it would cost approx $1600 to $1700. Wow I was floored! Only 25% of some mystery price I had in my head from somewhere - wow... where did I get that number from? I have no idea. Tony took out the measuring tape and then gave us a brochure to look at, advising which were the appropriate doors for our garage measurements. We asked about getting the windows at the top to let in extra light and Tony advised against it. Our garage is on the back of the house so it opens to the alley. He said a new garage door with windows could be a security risk. So, he totally did NOT go in for the upsell! We made an appointment for the following Wednesday at 9am for a new door install. Again, showed up on time and got to work. Tony provided a 3 layer, insulated garage door for our garage. He removed and disposed of the old door too so we didn't have to deal with that. The new door is soooooooo QUIET!!! And it works like a dream. So glad we went with a replacement door instead of new springs. Highly recommend Tony at Best Doors. Excellent service, excellent pricing and very professional.

Wow! WOW!!! I feel like I got new carpets! I had a lot of pet stains and food stains around the couch area and all of them are GONE! I feel like I just saved $5,000 by not having to replace my carpets. Can't say enough - amazing job! I will definitely hire them again. I also expect to see the "before and after" pictures of this job on their website because its such a drastic change! Highly Recommend!

Thank goodness for Tom and the team at Rush Roofing. I was in "roof repair hell" after a hail storm in Calgary a few years ago. The first contractor did such a terrible job I hired a home inspector to look at the work, and he told me that the job they are doing is SO BAD that it needs to be torn off completely and started over ... almost $8,000 down the drain. Sitting in tears at my kitchen table as the home inspector told me this, I asked for a recommendation for another contractor - and he gave me one. Another mistake - these jokers showed up and did most of the job but didn't finish, at all, and just abandoned my unfinished room. Beautiful! Now what? Another $8,000 in incomplete work. I hired another contractor to finish the job - and who knows what he did up there for 2 days! Another contractor (Calgary Roofing and Eavestrough) charged me another $1,000 to come finish installing the rest of the eavestroughing - well, they didn't seal any joints so ... tadaaa..... the joints leak! Again ... beautiful! So at this point I have 5 contractors and almost $20,000 into this roof and guess what ... its LEAKING!! I met Tom of Rush Roofing on personal business 2 years ago. When my roof started leaking I called and again - more tears to the poor gal who answered my call. Tom came to my house, gave me a quote and sent a worker to finish the job. Finally... a contractor with integrity. I didn't think I would find one but Rush Roofing definitely does. I wish I would have met them years ago - would have saved me about $15,000 and all kinds of tears and aggravation. Thanks Tom and team!

I was incredibly impressed with Tim at Calgary Countertops. He was always on time for his appointments and he even came back when I told him I wanted to select a different color. Erich was the installer for the day. He was on time, polite, courteous and very professional. He did a wonderful job, and didn't mind being home with my dog all day. *smiles* He cleaned everything, told me how to take care of it and left me with a kitchen that was ready to cook dinner! I highly recommend Calgary Countertops. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.
