We had decided to get two of our backyard fences replaced in the summer of 2022. But, after seeing how expensive it would be to replace the entire fence we decided to choose Fence Renu for the job. Fence Renu installed eight brand new fence posts instead of changing the entire fence. It conserved resources and focused on our actual problem, which was a leaning fence. Patrick had always responded to each email and phone call. He and his partner showed an incredible work ethic, and were a delight to have around our home. The day was especially hot and the ground in our backyard was quite hard, which demanded extra time to dig the holes for the posts. However, the job was completed to our satisfaction. Now that it is winter 2022, the fence posts have held up beautifully through all kinds of weather conditions. Our family was, and is, very happy with the service from Patrick and his partner. We saved money since we avoided having to replace the whole fence. The summer season did get insanely busy in 2022. I strongly recommend scheduling an appointment at least two months in advance because sometimes appointments will get rescheduled.

We needed more countertop and cabinet space in our small kitchen. The refrigerator was moved, and that left an open space next to our cabinets and countertop. This was a smaller job that most companies would not bother to do. However, Richard of Affordable Woodworking was willing and able to take on this job, and almost perfectly matched the colours of our existing kitchen cabinets while he kept the styles identical. Richard and his partner were able to install beautiful cabinets that were better quality than the ones we already had. We also had four custom white cabinets installed in our Laundry Room. The shelves and drawers of all the cabinets were solid, and the doors were beautiful and quiet-closing. Richard was a man true to his word in every way, was remarkably humble and kind, and his work was outstanding. We could not have been happier with the work that he did.

We had a new Carrier Air Conditioner and a new smart thermostat installed in June 2021. Our old A/C was loud and could not adequately cool our home. We have used our new A/C many times this year already, and we are impressed with how quickly and efficiently it cooled our home even on the hottest, most humid days. After two months of use, there has not been a single issue. The smart thermostat has made programming the A/C and furnace a breeze. Every part of the process from the estimate and sale, to the questions we asked by phone and email, to the A/C and thermostat installations have been exceptional. Maple Air was a real pleasure to deal with.

We chose Imperial Roofs after getting estimates from 4 other roofing companies. We were very pleased with the information they provided to us about the whole process, and the care that was taken during installation and clean up of our property. On the day of the estimate and inspection, pictures of our roof shingles and skylight were taken then emailed to us. We got to see that our roof shingles were in pretty rough shape. Imperial Roofs removed our very old skylight and installed a beautiful new one. Their pricing was quite reasonable, and the quality of their shingle selections was very good. They arrived on time for the job, and completed it professionally and efficiently. It rained on the scheduled day, but the next day they returned in the morning to finish the job. It has been a few months since the shingles and skylight were installed, and there have been no leaks or problems even with the snowfall. Imperial Roofs always returned our phone calls and emails, and were a pleasure to deal with overall. Highly recommended!

This review was actually for a kitchen project from last summer [2014]. Our whole kitchen was renovated, and we chose Pro Design Centre [through McLellan Contracting] to design our kitchen. It was our first kitchen renovation and we had lots of questions. Warren worked alongside us to develop a design that turned our small kitchen into an open concept design, and gave us plenty of storage space. The cabinets, counter tops and kitchen sink were also done through Pro Design Centre. The selection of styles and colours were plentiful. It was never a hassle to contact someone in the office with questions or concerns. Warren always made time to come over when we wanted to change the kitchen design. Overall, we could not be happier with our kitchen. Our old kitchen cannot compare to how spacious and attractive it is now. Lots of thanks to the Pro Design team.

We were very pleased with the duct cleaning from Prestige. The Josh and Pasidu were punctual, professional, wore shoe protectors (or whatever they're called) inside our home, and were quite friendly. We even received a follow-up call the next day asking how everything went. Although Prestige was not the cheapest, they did a thorough job (it took about an hour) and the service was good.

After searching the big box stores and a couple of smaller stores in my area, I searched for a range hood seller online and found Kitchenhoods.ca. Kitchenhoods.ca had a wide variety of range hoods in a wide variety of sizes. They had island hoods, under-cabinet and wall-mounted hoods. I used the online chat feature when I first came to the site, and the sales representative was very helpful and knowledgeable. The shipping was fast! Even though it was going from B.C. to Ontario the shipping was impressive. We have been using our lovely Spagna Vetro E2-30 for approximately three weeks, and it has been wonderful. It has three speeds with bright LED lights, is powerful and not overly loud, and is simple to operate. The customer service was top-notch and the price was phenomenal. Highly recommended!

Our garage floor was a nightmare. The paint was stripping, there were holes and pits literally everywhere, and we constantly had to sweep dust and sand from the decaying floor. After calling three companies and having them come over and give us estimates, we decided to go with Garage Living. Jonathan, our sales representative, was fantastic! He thoroughly explained the whole process and told us about the features of the coating (waterproof, UV resistant, oil resistant, etc.). The estimate he provided us with was exactly what we paid. As ridiculous as the condition of our floor was, it was completed in one day. The guys who did the job were on time, friendly and courteous, and cleaned up when it was over. Our garage floor was done three months ago, and it is living up to Garage Living's claims. No cracking and no flaking. Oil leakage can't damage it either. Just wipe it up with a cloth. If the floor is dirty, it can be rinsed with your garden hose. We are absolutely pleased with the work Garage Living did with our garage floor and have already recommended them to friends and neighbours. They truly saved our garage floor.

Steve did a wonderful job cleaning our 15 year-old (approx.) carpets. He was courteous, very knowledgable and friendly. While he did a through cleaning, he kept it simple. The carpet looks lovely and refreshed, and feels soft. No residue leftover that makes carpets feel crunchy and hard. Steve was even kind enough to clean one of our area rugs at the last minute. The price was very reasonable, and the high ratings are well-deserved. Would definitely call again.Thank you Steve!

Our renovation was for the bathing areas of our two bathrooms. The ensuite bath was converted into a walk-in shower, and the main bath would get a new bathtub and tiling. After calling and meeting with several contractors, we came across McLellan Contracting on Homestars and made the call. After meeting with John McLellan we knew right away that he and his company was the right choice. Every person we dealt with on the McLellan team was professional, helpful, and friendly. If someone was running late or would not be able to make it to do the work, we were always notified by phone. If you needed a suggestion on where to purchase tile, or who to build a glass enclosure for the walk-in shower for example, McLellan had relationships with trustworthy, experienced people to get the job done. Our two contractors who transformed our baths were not only a joy to have around, but they truly knew their trade. They had integrity, were punctual, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. It has been over one month since our baths were completed and there has not been a single problem. When we spoke to John at our home, he introduced us to the Sun Tunnel for our dark ensuite bathroom. We were so impressed that we had one installed. It really is amazing. As well, the walls were repainted and finally, the glass shower enclosure was installed. Our family could not be happier or more pleased with the end results. The baths are beautiful and extremely well done. Plus a big thank you to the whole McLellan team for making this process go as smoothly as possible. And of course much gratitude to John for his patience, advice and warm demeanor, and big thanks to Darrell and John for their fine work and whom made each day special. We hope to see you again for the kitchen reno.

On May 22, 2012, we had a new front door and new patio doors installed. After contancting and meeting with reps from a few companies, we chose Thermo-Bilt for the job. Neil was professional, friendly, knowledgable, and stayed in contact with us through the process. In addition, Neil quoted us with a very competitive price. Our front door was custom made, because we wanted a wider door without a side window. The other companies we contacted were unable to provide that. Also, we have steel security doors on the outside of the patio doors. Only Thermo-Bilt told us they would be able to remove them to install the new patio doors, then re-install them at the end. On the big day, Steve and another gentleman came and installed both the front door and the patio doors in one day. There was no fuss or attitude, and they arrived on time. They both did a fantastic job and the whole family is so happy with the new doors. Both gentlemen were very pleasant and friendly, and worked extremely well. We could not be more pleased with their work. The whole process from start to finish was wonderful, and we have already recommended Thermo-Bilt to some of our neighbours.
