I have had very good service with Direct Energy. However,they have just completed my yearly furnace inspection and have indicated that my exhaust should not be under my deck as per code regulation from the year 2000. This code violation will cost me $300 to correct, can only be done by a certified technician and I have 45 days to complete the work. My deck is 6 years old and Direct energy has been doing our yearly furnace maintenance for the past 4 years. See my dilema!! Why have all of the past Direct Energy maintenance technicians who have performed the work ever say anything? Was I wrong to think that I received very good service? Are they not trained properly? I have asked them to call me since I would like to discuss this with them so more to come.
