I recently had the complete house windows replaced, along with the patio door. The quote process was easy, and was significantly lower than another company using the same windows. This of course felt like a bit of a risk, but they did a good job in cold conditions, with very little mess. If there was any "could do better" it would be to clean the windows after installation, which I then had to do to check the glass. But that's a small thing compared to the good job they did overall.

We'd used Atex Flooring for a complete carpet install in our previous house, prior to putting it on the market. Mike was professional, knowledgeable, and the prices good. The result was excellent. So in our new house we immediately called Mike, and installed a new basement carpet. Another great job. After that, we wanted a hardwood floor in our lounge - again, we called Mike. The floor wasn't easy - there was not just wood subfloor, but bricks extending from the fireplace. But his installer did a great job, and the room now has a beautiful hardwood floor. Next time we need carpet or hardwood, it'll be Mike we call first.

We have a house with aluminum wiring. When we had an electrical problem, checking on Homestars showed Captain Electric was the company that seemed to have the most experience with aluminum. They solved our problem, and we discussed further action, which was rejuvenation. All pricing was made clear up front, and all work done to our satisfaction. We had the pleasure of dealing with Dave, and found both him and the company to be helpful and honest. Captain Electric are now our first choice for all electrical needs, should they (hopefully never!) arise.

During the summer we decided to replace some 40-year windows with modern vinyl windows, and called around many companies. Only two could meet my requirement - to reduce the height of the bedroom windows. This required not only filling in the space left by the shorter window, but also dealing with the visible change to the outside. Only this company worked with me to create a visually pleasing solution, suited to my existing window and shutters.. The prices were competitive, and the service excellent. There were a few small problems with one of the windows, but they dealt with it promptly. They would be our first choice when we decide to replace the remaining windows.
