Keeping them Honest

Friend of the missus told us about the quality and reliability of Ewen and his work. We gave him a call, arranged an inspect and quote, and listed to his helpful ideas and constructive suggestions for the job to be done. He was on time...imagine that, these days when you have all these clowns running around claiming to be "Contrators" or other tradespeople, while really they may talk a good yarn, but are nothing more than glorified "do-it-yourselfers" that take you and your wallet for an expensive ride while wasting your precious time. Ewen, as I mentioned, values your time, says what has to be said as he clearly knows his stuff, with well over 20 years experience, does the job very well, cleans up afterwards, treats your home with respect, and communicates to you should things arise. He also has a good sense of humour and doesn't make you feel like a fool if you ask a basic question about what you want done. In short, someone I would recommend for your own project.

Needed to carpet the basement and do some other stuff such as smoothing out the floor. Mary, who does the appointments, arranging, and co-ordinating was very helpful. All the staff were very good. They make sure you are looked after and they do the best they can in very busy times; its worth the wait. I would reccommend Citi Flooring and would use them again anytime.

Recently purchased home that needed some new closets. Darko and Milan (Scarborough/East York area) came by, did the install, were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend as these guys were honest, friendly and did the job right without any surprises.

We had our main drain replaced in our home with PVC. GOOD: they showed up fast, got the job done quickly, did respond to calls. Mike, a master plumber, knows his stuff and is no nonsence. BAD, expensive...granted it was "emergency" service but still feel like I was charged a heafty premium for their services. Attention to detail was lacking, namely in the cement work, which they had to come back and redo in many parts as it was substandard. Who wants to have people jack-hammer your basement floor twice. But at least they re-did it. Unfortunately, I will have to either pay someone, or do it myself to smooth out the edges where the holes in the floor were, when it should have been pretty seamless. In short, not what you should expect from a company that has been in business since 1946 with a "Good" reputation behind it. The biggest dissapointment however, is that we never got a real appology for the aggravation.
