We wanted to bring our homes attic insulation from R20 to R60. After reaching out to several contractors for quotes, we ended up going with Panda Insulation because of their stellar customer service. We really appreciated their quick responses, be it for booking a quote, answering questions or booking the service itself. They did a great job with the insulation and we are very happy with the results. Highly recommend!

We hired LED Electric back in the fall of 2019 after being referred by a lighting store. Communication was great, expectations were clear and prices were reasonable. What really stood out was the quality of the installation. The electrician and his apprentice spent a long time trying to fish the wire through existing openings so there would be no drywall for me to repair. They were also meticulous, using a laser level to perfect the alignment of the light fixtures. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Our neighbours down the street had hired Gerald to level the edge of their driveway near their garage and fix the slope of the curb separating the driveway and the street. Funny enough, we required the exact same services. I spoke to Gerald and he was able to provide estimates on the spot. He explained how he worked and took the time to answer all of my questions. He came back the next day to complete the job. I could tell that he was hardworking and took extra care to ensure quality service. I would hire Gerald again.

We hired Ottawa Refacing to change our cabinet colours from a rich cherry to something more modern. From the start, we noticed that the company was very detail-oriented. Our initial estimate broke down the cost for each step, allowing us to easily refine the scope of our project. Ottawa Refacing's team know their craft very well and it showed through our communications with them. They helped us select our cabinet style and colours, provided advice on some elements of the project and answered all of our questions. The installer was courteous and did an amazing job at refacing our cabinets. The work started on time and was completed a day earlier than planned. Although we were happy to get our kitchen back, we would have appreciated if the installer did a better job at cleaning up at the end. Many cabinets had saw dust, laminate clippings and screws inside of them. As is to be expected with large projects like this one, there were a few things that needed to be reviewed and fixed. We reached out to Ottawa Refacing to let them know what we wanted to tweak at the end of the main job and they happily came back a couple weeks later. It was really no hassle. Overall, we would recommend Ottawa Refacing. The quality work they did really transformed our kitchen.

Coco Tile did an amazing job at replacing our kitchen backsplash. From the removal of the old tile to the installation of the new one, we knew exactly what to expect because of the detailed estimate we were provided. Coco Tile strives to provide superior workmanship and it showed. They very carefully removed our old tile, limiting the damage to the drywall behind it and eliminating the need to replace it. Our installer Dan also paid great attention to detail when installing our new tile. He made sure the tiles were levelled and equally spaced out - despite the fact that the tile we picked was not a perfect rectangle. He did not rush the job and gave the porcelain tile ample time to set before grouting. It is also worth highlighting that Kevin was very accommodating with the schedule throughout the entire project. We hired Coco Tile only a couple of weeks before our kitchen renovations started. Nevertheless, Kevin made sure to come demolish the old backsplash before our new countertops were installed as to not damage them. We also had to delay the installation because of COVID. It was very to communicate with Kevin and have them come not long after the original installation date.

Our old water heater was 16 years old and it was time to replace it before it failed. After gathering a few quotes, we decided to go with Oria Heating & Cooling because they had the best price and they were highly rated. We were very satisfied with the service we received. Oria Heating & Cooling were able to do the work just a few days after contacting them. The delivery of the new tank and the disposal of the old one were well organized. It took little time for the installers to setup the new tank and bring it up to code. At the end of everything, Mansoor came to inspect the installer's work and took the time to explain how the new tank worked. He was very courteous and answered all of my questions. We will definitely reach out to him for our future for our HVAC needs.

Horizon Plumbing provided us quality services at a reasonable price. We hired them on two separate occasions to (1) install shut-off valves and (2) install a new kitchen faucet and drain. On both occasions, the plumbers were courteous and completed their work quickly and efficiently. Horizon Plumbing's communication was also great. It was easy to schedule the work and their dispatch system did a good job at notifying us of the plumber's arrival.

Planet Granite did a wonderful job with our new quartz countertops. Right from the start, Meeta was very helpful with selecting our quartz. She was mindful of our budget and guided us through the process by explaining how the stone would be cut and the limitations of the slab given our measurements. Their installer Ray was also a pleasure to work with. He meticulously installed the countertops and payed great attention to the joint to make sure it was even and leveled. Planet Granite did a good job at communicating anticipated COVID delays. They were transparent about the fact that our slab was going to be delivered to them later than anticipated. Nevertheless, we were very fortunate and they were able to complete the work on schedule.

I hired K. Joly Contracting to build a red cedar fence in my backyard in the summer of 2019. The team did an excellent job: they provided a clear & detailed estimate, installed the fence meticulously and took good care of the grass. K. Joly was also very accommodating. Although our original plan was to build a 6' fence, I requested to increase the height to 7' after the posts were installed. They accepted the changes to the contract without hesitation. My installation date was pushed backed by a month due to the weather. Although I understood the delays, I often had to initiate conversations with K.Joly to get an updated date. However, they always answered the phone and responded to emails within a few days. All in all, I am happy with the final product. I recommend hiring them as early as possible as they get very busy!

We are very pleased with A Cut Above Painting's work and would hire them again for future projects. Kelly and Clayton provided us quick, friendly, quality service at a very competitive price. My partner and I were in the process of repainting our house ourselves, but decided to hire a professional painter for our stairwell because we knew its curve and height would prove to be a challenging job for us. After gathering a few estimates, we decided to go with A Cut Above Painting. They were always quick to respond to our messages, agreed to using the Behr Marquee paint we had, and their price fit our budget. It was also clear based on our conversations that they knew their trade. Kelly and Clayton made the whole project seem effortless. In a single morning, the two of them were able to repair minor imperfections, sand the surfaces and apply 2 coats of paint. They were efficient, yet did not sacrifice quality. We were very happy with the results and are now considering more projects with them because of it.
