Quality work - quality people! "almost" a perfect job
Roof and Eavetrough Installation review This is mostly an excellent review, however there was a wrinkle when we needed some attention following the work being done. We had Vargas Family Roofing replace our roof and eavetrough in June 2019. Jennifer and Elian were great to work with – both during the sales cycle and when having the work done. They are delightful people! They weren’t the least expensive (nor the most), but due to their references, their warranty coverage and reputation, we chose them; and trusted them to do a good job. While not 100% satisfied, we are 95% satisfied. They only hiccup was in getting them to return to fix a problem with the eavetrough installation. Jennifer gave us an estimated date for installation – and they stuck to it. Both the roof and eavetrough replacement were done within a week. The team worked hard, were courteous, and left the site clean. We found the odd nail and old shingle around, but nothing bothersome. We paid them in full a day after installation. The quality of the roof is very good – we are very pleased. We had quotes from competitors but decided that some were cutting corners which would affect the quality of the finished product and warranty coverage. All roof lines are very straight and it looks great! The eavetrough needed a bit of attention after it was done. Elian came back and realigned one section that wasn’t draining well. We also had a problem with 2 of the corner joints. They were very ragged looking. Getting their attention to fix this took some time. It took a couple of months and we sometimes went a few weeks waiting for a response. I didn’t get the impression that they were avoiding the issue, but rather that they were busy. A bit more communication would have been appreciated. The fix for the eavetrough joints is ok, but not perfect. All-in-all, we are very pleased with the work and would recommend Vargas. Quality work and quality people!
