We don’t know how it started, but before we knew it, mice were all over the house. We couldn’t fall asleep because of the squeaky noise coming from behind the walls, cabinets, etc. We would start hearing them as soon as lights were switched off and the house went quiet. My dad tried to poison the mice with the rodenticides he bought from the internet over a month. But it looked like mice were enjoying the extra food bait he was supplying to them. We started avoiding the parts of the house where mice were known to be noisier. My brother moved out of his basement bedroom and started sleeping in the living room sofa. The tiny rodents were taking their toll on our health. Finally, our family gave in and decided to hire an exterminator. Sal made two visits to our house – one to inspect and find out what is going on and another to exterminate the mice and close off their points of entry. All I know is that they did a perfect job. The tormenting sounds stopped several days after his second visit. Our household has finally returned to a normal state.
