Len responded promptly when we made an emergency call about a leak around the furnace. He confirmed that we had done the right things and made an appointment for checking the problem, as well as the annual maintenance, for first thing the next morning. Ty came and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the leakage problem, followed by the annual maintenance inspection. Ty was great, he was competent, professional, courteous, friendly and patiently answered any questions we had. We have used Tempasure for many years, and will continue to use them for our future service needs. They are highly recommended!

Mathew did an excellent job cleaning our ducts, better than any of the companies we have hired previously. He was very professional, personable, efficient, and courteous. He was responsive to all questions and gave us many helpful suggestions. We purchased the all inclusive package which included cleaning the furnace, A/C coil and dryer vent, as well as inspecting the humidifier and water tank. It had been too long since the last cleaning, so the difference afterwards was felt immediately. The temperature and humidity seemed better regulated and more efficient. It feels warmer though we have not changed the thermostat. We will continue to use Mathew and MP Professional for future duct cleanings. He is highly recommended!

We chose Roofs on Homes over other contractors based on their use of CertainTeed shingles, training certifications and their reputation. This was important to us because apparently, warranty claims are often denied by roofing manufacturers if the shingles are not installed by experienced, certified installers. We were also impressed with Rich, who was very knowledgeable and helpful with explanations of the requirements for an optimal roofing system. He suggested options for consideration, giving enough information so that we could decide, and never trying to sell us anything we didn't need. He even gave us tips on attic insulation when asked. Rich was always very responsive to our questions and requests. The company was very organized and efficient, and the crew who installed the roof were obviously skilled, focused, efficient and very hardworking. We are very happy with the beautiful new roof and have every confidence it will last a long time, especially with the extended warranty and Roofs on Homes supporting it. Anthony at Exotherm was the fastest to respond and give a quote for updating our attic insulation. He demonstrated both expert knowledge and experience as shown in his assessment, explanations, and answers to our questions. We had the old (40 years) fibreglass insulation (batts and loose) completely removed, baffle vents installed (there were only a few wooden ones before), soffit damming, spray foam the attic floor to R12, spray foam the rim joists and the attic side of the skylight shaft to R24. Mold control was applied before and after spray foaming. This was followed up with blown in cellulose, and attic hatch insulation/ weather stripping. Sufficient cellulose was installed to allow for eventual settling and still achieve final R60 thermal resistance. Anthony and his crews (including Adam and Courtney) were highly skilled, professional, always focused, efficient, courteous and cheerful. They practiced safety precautions and always cleaned up at the end of each day. We noticed the area under the skylight is now significantly cooler on very hot sunny days. They performed an amazing, high quality job at every stage and exceeded our expectations. Exotherm is highly recommended!

Scott at Finer Edge was the fastest to respond with the most competitive and reasonable quote. Not only that, but he was able to convey a sense of caring about doing an expert job, something none of the other companies did. This attitude was also found in Eric and his team, who were highly skilled, efficient, professional and courteous. They were always responsive to what I wanted as the work progressed. I had 3 bathrooms and a laundry room painted, as well as 3 ceilings repaired and painted. The most difficult job was the removal of gobs of rock-like industrial glue left over from removing a floor to ceiling mirror that covered an entire wall in the dining room. They scraped off the glue, plastered and sanded, followed by painting the entire room. They also installed a new window frame and baseboard for that wall. The difference before and after is just incredible, the room looks brand new and just beautiful. I have hired painters in the past, and never have I seen such beautiful work done in such a short time, and in such a highly organized manner. We are so thrilled with the bathroom renovation by Ultimaterooms. As part of the basement renovation, we wanted to move the location of the old bathroom which meant having to dig up the concrete floor and moving the plumbing. Other contractors giving estimates tried to convince us to build around the original bathroom, but Ultimaterooms didn’t blink an eye and said no problem. We are very pleased with the design and final look of the bathroom. Throughout the project, they were always professional, courteous, friendly, and completely responsive and accommodating to new ideas. We are ecstatic with the stunning basement renovation that Ultimaterooms completed for us. They transformed a useless basement into a work of art that is also completely functional and efficient. They took our needs into consideration, and improved on our initial design ideas to create an open concept feeling, yet the different functional areas have their own character (entertainment/living area, large office area, bedroom, bathroom and workshop). They demolished the parts of the basement that were semi-finished, moved the plumbing, replaced the old insulation with new, designed and built a custom wall unit and bookshelves for the living/entertainment area, installed soundproofing, replaced the old sump pump with a new one and camouflaged it with a wall niche, and even set up and connected our new home theatre system and new furniture for us! To solve a design problem with the fireplace, they recommended an environmentally-friendly fireplace that hangs on the wall, and is itself a work of art. This beautiful fireplace adds to, and complements the living area. Throughout the project, they were always professional, courteous, friendly, and completely responsive and accommodating to new ideas. They will not take shortcuts and you can be sure they will always do everything right. Their finished work reflects high quality craftsmanship, and the desire to combine good design aesthetics with functionality. We see thoughtful touches of improvement everywhere (such as raising the level of the basement backdoor, etc.). Our friends and family describe our finished basement as "stunning" and "beautifiul". Words cannot describe our delight and amazement with our new floor of living space. We would use Ultimaterooms again in a heartbeat.
