Our house has a two-level flat roof and shingles on the sloping parts. The whole roof was redone in 2015 but as the years went by the flat roof was leaking into the attic in a couple of places. Not much, but as time passed it got worse. The original roofing contractor had gone on to other things immediately after doing our roof in 2015, so we had to find someone else to fix it. Things came to a head in November 2022 when the leak suddenly became quite substantial. We knew of Erion and Universe Roofing because they had done work near our office. We called him, and he came quickly to see how bad it was. When the rain had stopped the next day he and a helper came to apply something to block the leak. They identified an area where the flat roof changed levels that had been poorly done, and did immediate repairs, which helped a lot. However with every rain storm (and melting snow in December) we could see there was still a leak somewhere. Erion visited at least two more times to apply more patches (could not redo the whole roof due to frequent snow, wind and cold weather). Of course the problem with a flat roof is the water can go sideways under the membrane a long way so finding a particular spot where it gets in is trial and error. So we readily agreed that the whole flat roof should be redone. When the weather finally co-operated in late February, a five-man crew put on a new flat roof membrane, and improved the scuppers drain the water onto the shingled roof sections. I write this review two months later, at the end of a long rainy weekend, and the new roof is perfect. Many thanks to Erion and his crew for their attentiveness and the fine work they did to triage the problem and eventually solve it.

In the evening we noticed a slow but steady drip from an old-style cold water shutoff valve in the bathroom. Called Advanced Plumbing and George arrived about 9AM the next morning. He replaced the valve with a modern ball-style valve. He also replaced the hot water shutoff valve that was next to the cold one, and installed an access panel to cover them up. The valves were behind the toilet, so he had to move that and then re-seat it with new wax ring. Finally, he replaced the old-style shutoff valve for the toilet! Very satisfied with the neat work and fast response.
