WEEKLY housecleaning - unprofessional attitude from owners
I hope that anyone searching for a hardworking house cleaning company reads this review. It all started pretty normal. Initially, I had bi-weekly cleaning service. I would rate the service as 7.5-8 out of 10 but I was ok with that, I was not and am not looking for perfection and was happy with their affordable rates. I then upgraded the service to once per week - we have a toddler and are working professionals, life is hectic! Now, what struck me as odd is that they would email me asking to rate them as 10/10 on Homestars and in return, I would get $10 off my next cleaning. I never did that, as I believe that their service was not 10/10. I rely on Homestars' reviews when I research different companies that I would consider hiring. Therefore I did not feel that leaving a 10/10 review would be an honest thing to do. In the interim, the lady who cleaned my house had left the company. Next week’s cleaning (actually today) was supposed to be done by the owners, Jacob and Rose. They were to arrive here at 9AM and this was confirmed last night. Let me preface that I even took the day off work to show them around the house and what needs to be done. Just as I did with the previous cleaner. Well... as I’m getting ready for their arrival this morning, I get an email from the owners at 9:03AM today advising me that they would not be able to make it! Wait a second, weren't they supposed to be here at 9AM today, yet they are notifying me via email at 9:03AM? Did we not confirm last night that they will be here this morning? Yes we did. What's even more frustrating is that I was not even given the courtesy of a phone call, when they fully knew that I had taken a vacation day to meet with them. I replied to their email and got no response. They are hiding, knowing fully well that I am upset. For someone who spends $400 per month on their services, you think they would be a little more considerate in own actions? I guess not. This is very rude, brazen and completely unprofessional. I would rather pay more than have to deal with this nonsense from two very young and immature individuals. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. BEWARE.
