CONSULTATION: The consultation was great. Was able to answer all my questions. He came to my house, made lots of recommendations & provided a plethora of information that helped us narrow down the myriad of options to decide exactly what we wanted. Consultation phase gets a solid 10/10. I investigated ~15 different blinds providers before selecting where to buy from, and among them all, none of them had as much product knowledge and ability to speak to every facet of the product or install service as much as Allure could, and I could tell that he was genuinely interested in finding the best solution to match our home & what we were looking for. Contrasting with some of the other options I looked at, where some of them were very focused on driving me back to some specific options (zebra & vienna/silhouette shades). INSTALLATION / PRODUCT / POST-INSTALL SERVICE: The shutters look and work great. There were a couple issues when first installed, but the Allure team came back to make things right. 1 issue required the shutters to be sent back to the factory to adjust, and they ensured that it was all done & returned promptly. Also got frosted glass put in for the transom above the front door, and 2 motorized silhouette blinds for a large sliding glass door, and they work & look great. I've seen reviews of other shops online, and having issues with getting them to honour the guarantees and properly fix the products. I can attest that this isn't a problem with Allure, they will fix any issues that come up after the fact.

This is so great!! We appreciate the thorough review and details throughout the experience. It has been a bumpy road with regards to manufacture defects and back orders with the current times, but we are navigating through it and will always do everything we possibly can to make sure our customer's are happy in the end.

(Would give 3.5 stars if that were an option, -0.5 stars for each of my 3 areas for improvement listed below). Hard working movers, attentive to instructions for taking things out of the old house and placement into the new. Were careful with the hardwood floor when placing items down not to scratch it. The quote was accurate both in terms of time and cost, no tricks, no surprises, no hidden costs. They were on time, worked hard, worked long, were organized, ready to go, were strong & capable in moving my things. However, some room for improvement exists with: - Not disclosing breaking of a few things, losing a few things, banging a few walls and ceilings when moving. Nothing major was broken to my knowledge, mostly just plastic connection joints for steel shelving units (some were likely broken as they dismantled them, others were simply lost or left behind - I discovered these myself after the move as they were just left on the floor, some broken, and some are just missing, which means I don't have all the pieces required to reassemble my storage racks). A few walls were nicked and the ceiling and door frame of the basement staircase had several nicks and holes. These types of things happen during a move, but no one raised this to my attention, I just found this out myself after the move by seeing the damage and missing pieces. - No COVID measures were taken. Everyone on my side wore face masks all day long, but none of the movers did. I have had a number of contractors working on various projects at my house and they all wear masks, so it was a bit surprising and concerning for 4 people to be unmasked all day during a move. - The mess left behind on the hardwood floors was extreme. They laid some protective floor runners down, but not nearly enough to be effective. They covered less than 25% of the floor space used to move throughout the old and new houses. Also the runners weren't wide enough, and the movers didn't make much effort to stay on them while moving throughout the house, so there was mud tracked all throughout the house, all rooms, even on each side of the runners.

We are very sorry to hear this news. We do appreciate all the kind words. We do not have record of anyone with this name on our files. Nor has anyone called the office with any of this type of information. We have had a few Brampton moves that we will be following up with in the morning. Please call the office tomorrow at 1-888-947-9638. We take this information seriously and would like to rectify this situation.

They had 3 modes of work. 1) Work diligently - No concerns when they were in this mode, they moved quickly, both working effectively. This is how movers should be. But it was only ~30% of the time, notably for the 1st half of the move. 2) Somewhat working - Sometimes 1 guy would work, the other guy just watched. Sometimes it was moving an item, sometimes it was wrapping an item with plastic wrap - but there was only 1 guy working, the other guy would either just watch or he'd just walk off somewhere else for a while (but not moving anything). ~50% of the time. 3) Not working - Sometimes they'd both just disappear from the house, they'd be hanging out in the truck, outside taking a call, or just simply chatting with each other. This happened frequently, notably in the last half of the move. I can't count the number of times I had to go looking for them and ask them what's up/what's the delay/etc. ~20% of the time. I'd say they stretched what could have been a 3 hour job (max 4 hrs) based on their "diligent" working mode into a 6 hour job based on their mixed working mode of dilgent/somewhat working/not working.

PROS: They were on time, gave me an accurate quote, brought their own blankets, were polite, worked quickly. CONS: Dinged my wall, door frame and ceiling on staircase down to the basement. 1 guy was the obvious lead, the other guy less experienced. Had it been 2 guys of the lead's caliber, think there would have been no dings. The item was a heavy treadmill (~350lbs) going down a turn on a staircase and they were small dings, so I understand the small dings on the house frame - which is why I've only deducted 1 star in each category (total 6/10) and not 2 each (total 4/10). Otherwise would be perfect score of 5 stars each (10/10).
