We hired Zaid for a two-part move where we had a good portion of our stuff in storage at a self-store depot from when we staged our home for sale, and the remainder still in the home. We required pickup from both location and delivery to the new home. As it happened, there was an absolutely torrential downpour that day. It was also exceedingly cold. They were only a short while late to our starting point due to traffic (Toronto on a rainy day), but they phoned from a cell phone to make sure we knew what was up and to apologize for the delay (which they didn't charge us for). They were exceedingly efficient, very careful with our stuff, and most of all, extremely polite, friendly and easy to work with. Whenever we stopped them with questions, they seemed happy to answer them and not bothered at all, and we mostly just had to stay out of their way. We'd changed our mind about a couple of very bulky items that we'd initially told them we weren't taking, and this wound up requiring a whole extra trip, and they didn't mind or make a fuss whatsoever. (And they almost managed to get them in the one trip with very efficient packing.) We've unpacked several boxes of fragile items (packed by us) and nothing has been broken at all. In the end, I'm completely satisfied with the move and would use them again without hesitation.

We bought some lock sets from the store, but were unable to install them due to idiosyncrasies of our doors. Having just moved in to the new home and having lots of other things to do, we decided to hire a locksmith to come out and do the installation for us. We called Victory Locks and the owner himself came out almost immediately -- within a couple of hours of our call. He was very personable, accomodating and friendly and did excellent work, happily re-using the hardware we'd purchased so we didn't have to return it. When all was done, the installations were much better than I could have done myself, even had I had the time to spend on it, and looked and worked great even on the wonky doors. He also did the re-keying for us (to set them all to a common key), made all the duplicate keys we asked for, and gave us some important basics about the lock sets we had bought. In all, it was a fantastic, painless experience.
